17 Hellboy: The Crooked Man
The Second Feature Film Reboot Of The Superhero Horror Series
Based on the Dark Horse Comics character Hellboy, Hellboy: The Crooked Man is the second feature-film reboot of the superhero-meets-horror franchise. The film stars Deadpool 2's Jack Kesy as its titular heroic demon, who works for the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense (BPRD.). Set during the 1950s, the film sees Hellboy and his BPRD partner stranded in an isolated community that's haunted by supernatural entities — as well as the Crooked Man, who harbors a connection to Hellboy's troubled past. Reportedly, the film is slated for a 2024 release, though that may change.
Hellboy ventures into the Appalachian Mountains alongside a novice BPRD agent to confront a demonic entity known as the Crooked Man. As they uncover dark secrets and face supernatural horrors, they must prevent an ancient evil from rising and wreaking havoc on the world.
