For seasons 41 and 42, Saturday Night Live premiered in early October, whereas season 43 and 44 premiered in late September. Assuming that NBC’s fall premiere week will kick off on September 23, 2019, Saturday Night Live season 45 will premiere on September 28, 2019.

Kenan Thompson remains the longest-tenured Saturday Night Live cast member (2003-present). In May 2019, NBC ordered a new series starring Thompson, Office Christmas Party, and the Jay Roach drama Fair and Balanced.
