Marvel Studios just confirmed the best way to bring the Scarlet Witch back to the Billy Maximoff, has returned to the MCU, making Agatha All Along a true sequel to 2021's WandaVision.

The Agatha All Along episode 7, "Death's Hand in Mine," included yet another huge tease. In fact, the episode presented a huge loophole that could suggest the Scarlet Witch never died at all.

Agatha All Along Won't Stop Teasing Scarlet Witch's Return

The Scarlet Witch's Return Has Been A Huge Talking Point In Agatha All Along

Since the premiere of Agatha All Along, "Seekest Thou the Road," the Scarlet Witch's potential return has been a hot topic of discussion. Perhaps most prominently, the entire narrative of Agatha Harkness' true crime-style scenario in the first half of Agatha All Along's premiere centered on Detective Agnes O'Connor investigating the mysterious death of Wanda Maximoff and the destruction of the Darkhold. Agatha All Along has mentioned that Wanda is "really, most sincerely dead," but has also teased her resurrection or return in some pretty obvious ways.

Where Is Scarlet Witch's Other Son, Tommy Maximoff?

Agatha All Along has confirmed the return of Billy Maximoff, but the Scarlet Witch's other son, speedster Tommy, is yet to return to the MCU.

Most notably, the fact that Billy Maximoff has returned despite his death in WandaVision, and complete lack of a corporeal form anyway, means it should be fairly simple for the Scarlet Witch to return. Agatha All Along episode 7 saw Billy Maximoff renounce Wanda as his mother, and instead suggest that Rebecca Kaplan is his true mom. Of course, this could all change if Wanda and Billy somehow reunite in the MCU's future, and Agatha All Along's most recent episode may have presented the perfect opportunity for Marvel to bring the Scarlet Witch back.

While the Scarlet Witch's return has been heavily teased throughout Agatha All Along, episode 7, "Death's Hand in Mine," may have suggested that the former Avenger isn't dead at all. While traveling to the next trial on the Witches' Road, Agatha Harkness and Billy Maximoff have a frank conversation now that all identities have been revealed. Billy asks Agatha if Wanda Maximoff is really dead, and Agatha's response of "Yes. No. Maybe?" has caused some to speculate that the Scarlet Witch's formerly-confirmed death is actually not a certainty.

Wanda Maximoff brought the Darkhold Castle on Mount Wundagore down on top of her in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness after realizing the error of her ways in hunting down America Chavez, and she destroyed every copy of the Darkhold across the multiverse in the process.

The certainty of the Scarlet Witch's demise has previously been questioned by Agatha Harkness in Agatha All Along's premiere. As Agnes, she asked fellow detective Herb, a.k.a. Westview resident John Collins, whether the body in the woods was really dead, spurring his response referencing The Wizard of Oz. This only prompted Agatha to state, "you never know," however, suggesting the Scarlet Witch may still be alive. These teases mean Marvel Studios could easily reintroduce Wanda Maximoff to the MCU.

When presented with the "Yes. No. Maybe?" in Agatha All Along episode 7, Billy Maximoff asks Agatha Harkness whether she actually saw Wanda's body. Agatha notes that she did, but that it's hard to say whether anybody else did, given the fact that Agatha only saw Wanda's body in her imagined true crime-style world while under the Scarlet Witch's spell. This means Agatha was an unreliable narrator, and she doesn't try to hide that fact. Because of the well-known "no body, no death" rule in comic book movies, it seems possible that the Scarlet Witch isn't dead at all.
