Scooby-Doo and his Mystery Inc. gang have been some of the most popular cartoon characters since they debuted in 1969. The characters, which were were created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera of Hanna-Barbera Productions, have gone on to appear in numerous movies over the years.
A number of these movies have been theatrically released while some were granted a direct-to-video release. There have been a couple of series version as well. Either way. it's hard to find any boring installment in the long-running franchise.
Scooby-Doo! And The Curse Of The 13th Ghost (2019)
Scooby-Doo! And The Curse Of The 13th Ghost wraps up the unfinished storyline of the popular 1985 animated series The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby-Doo. In the movie, Mystery Inc. swallow their shame and are faced with no option but to retire after accidentally capturing the wrong person.
However, it's never quite over for them. The magician and warlock Vincent Van Ghoul finds them and tasks them with finishing a case they left hanging years ago.
Scooby-Doo! Shaggy's Showdown (2017)
In Scooby-Doo! Shaggy's Showdown, a strange man shows up in a western town and begins firing green light at the residents. The people are thus forced to retreat to their homes and wait for help.
Soon, the gang arrives in the town to try and find out what's happening. They discover that the ghostly cowboy named Dapper Jack is actually one of Shaggy's long-lost cousins. Shaggy is thus forced to confront him in person and end the menace.
Scooby-Doo! Moon Monster Madness (2015)
Space themes were introduced in this installment. In it, Fred, Scooby, Shaggy, Daphne, and Velma win lotteries that would enable them to go on a voyage into space. All this has been organized by the billionaire Sly Baron. In a node to Elon Musk, he has built a space ship named the Sly Star One.
However, a couple of vicious aliens enter the ship during the flight. The ship thus makes an emergency landing on the Sly Moon Prime, a luxury moon resort built by Sly Maron. There, everyone has to figure out how to survive.
Scooby-Doo! Legend Of The Phantosaur (2011)
The Mystery Inc. gang travels go on vacation at the La Serena Spa in New Mexico. The purpose of the vacation is to make Shaggy relax after a previous experience left him traumatized and constantly screaming.
They go to a barbecue where Shaggy and Scooby eat a bit too much. Given that they are too full to walk, the rest of the gan leaves them to go check out other sceneries. While alone, a Gila monster grabs food from them, When scooby runs after it, he encounters a monster known as the Phantosaur.
Scooby-Doo! And The Goblin King (2008)
This movie stood out from the rest in that it resumed the plot angle where the monsters are real. In it, the Mystery, Inc. gang attends a Halloween carnival where a magician known as "The Amazing Krudsky" refuses to let Scooby see his tricks.
Shaggy and Scooby hit back by exposing his fake tricks during a later performance. The people walk out in anger and the magician swears revenge. He thus starts to hunt the two down.
Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! (2006)
Fred treats the gang on a cruise to Bermuda Triangle. Before the journey, Scooby and Shaggy encounter a creepy man and begin to get suspicious. They brush him off and come to learn that he is a hypnotist. However, they are immune to his hypnotism.
Later on, they rescue a man who was lost at sea and he reveals to them that he saw ghost pirates. This turns out to be true as the gang later encounters them as well.
Scooby-Doo! And The Monster of Mexico (2003)
This was one of two Scooby-Doo movies released the same year. In it, Fred gets a pen-pal from Mexico. He invites Fred and the gang to visit him in Veracruz where he lives. Soon, a monster called "El Chupacabra" begins causing havoc in Veracruz.
Fred's penpal named Alejo introduces the gang to his family upon arrival. He also sets them up in a hotel and warns them about El Chupacabra. After long cat and mouse games with the monster, they capture it and unmask it. To their shock, it was someone really close to them.
Scooby-Doo! And The Legend Of The Vampire (2003)
The gang finds itself in Australia where they find themselves investigating the legend of a vampire named the Yowie Yahoo. This movie re0introduced the plot angle where the monsters aren't real. It's only people masquerading as monsters.
Scooby-Doo! And The Legend Of The Vampire also reunited the surviving of the original voice cast. Frank Welker voiced both Scooby and Fred since original Scooby voice actor Don Messick had ed away.
Scooby-Doo And The Cyber Chase (2001)
This was the last film where both William Hanna and Joseph Barbera of the Hanna-Barbera production company served as executive producers before Hanna's death. The Jumanji-like plot revolves around Professor Kaufman, and two students who encounter a virtual creature from a game.
The creature known as the Phantom Virus begins to attack so Mystery Inc. go to the college to deal with it. As usual, Scooby and Shaggy get chased around the campus by the creature. Soon, the gang gets sucked into the game, forcing them to go through several levels to come out alive.
Scooby-Doo And The Alien Invaders (2000)
Scooby-Doo And The Alien Invaders was the last movie that Mary Kay Bergman worked on before her death. Mary used to voice Daphne. In the movie, Scooby and the gang are on a road trip in New Mexico when a heavy sandstorm forces Shaggy to drive into a government facility.
After crashing into a strange machine, they find themselves in a small town. Fred, Velma, and Daphne decide to go to a diner to ask for more information about the area. While the scared Scooby and Shaggy are waiting in the van, they encounter an alien.
