David Boreanaz seemingly teased the release window for SEAL Team season 7. The CBS war drama follows the lives of elite Navy SEALs who are training, planning, and executing treacherous missions to protect the United States. SEAL Team has thus far run for six seasons on CBS, beginning in 2017.

Boreanaz wrote brief reflective words about the end of SEAL Team. He wrote “Beginning in the end. Last Word is on the table," with the image confirming the final episode's title as "The Last Word." His post had previously said "August here we come!" (via Collider) before being edited to April. While it is not clear why this information was edited, the August mention could have implied a potential release window. The April date could be the expected filming window for the final episode.

SEAL Team Season 7 Will Be Its Last

This final season will deal with the outcome of Clay’s death and more, as SEAL Team soon begins its final episodes.

The episodes will mark the end of SEAL Team. In November 2023, it was announced that season 7 would be the show's last season with 10 episodes. Upon its cancellation, Boreanaz expressed his gratitude towards the series, saying that he has “been fortunate and blessed to be a part of an outstanding cast and crew.” An exact reason for the cancellation was not stated at the time of this news.

In addition, it was revealed that the previously announced standalone SEAL Team movie would be cancelled. The movie was announced in February 2022, shortly after SEAL Team was renewed for season 6. The exact plot or other details for the film have not yet been revealed, and now what the SEAL Team movie could have been will never be revealed.

Season 7 will be responsible for resolving all the main plotlines in the series. This is a somewhat hefty task following SEAL Team season 6, which saw the death of one of the main characters, Clay Spenser.
