The Disney+ show Avengers: Endgame return for years and is the first glimpse of what Secret Invasion could look like.
During Cleary's recent appearance in Ms. Marvel. All told, Secret Invasion needs to answer many questions about the Skrulls' presence on Earth and Fury's relationship with them.
It makes sense, then, that Secret Invasion is one of the most highly anticipated MCU shows for many viewers. For one, Nick Fury's home life is set to make an appearance, according to a recent tease given by Samuel L. Jackson. Fury's private life hasn't been covered in any of the movies where the character appears, so this series promises a missing piece of the puzzle that audiences have been clamoring for since Marvel Phase 1.
Secret Invasion also boasts an impressive cast of characters. Fury will be ed by many other Marvel heroes from previous phases, including Maria, Talos, Rhodey, and Everett K. Ross. Additionally, prominent actors like Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Christopher McDonald, and Carmen Ejogo are making their MCU debuts in Secret Invasion. These are all exciting actors who have experience in a variety of genres and will take the franchise in new directions with their performances.
Another highly-anticipated point that will be addressed in Secret Invasion is that, in the comics, the Skrulls infiltrate world governments and take up the mantles of some well-known heroes as part of their invasion. Given that Nick Fury seems to be friends with the Skrulls, to the point of asking Talos to impersonate him on Earth, it is likely that the TV adaptation of the comic book storyline will look quite different. So, even fans of the comics don't know where the series could end up going.
Secret Invasion will also bring the MCU back to its roots by focusing on the person who connected the interwoven universe from the beginning: Nick Fury. There has been some fan fatigue in recent Marvel projects, with many people falling out of the franchise because of how big the universe is getting. Secret Invasion will be a breath of fresh air for anyone who feels like Marvel has strayed a bit too far into the weeds with their properties featuring the multiverse. For these reasons, it's potentially the most exciting show that Marvel has on the slate so far, one that will not only answer many pressing questions about beloved characters but remain accessible for past MCU fans.
