Selling Sunset star Chrishell Stause has some critical things to say about Kanye West's recent announcement - he would be running for the presidency. She doesn't quite like this idea and urges his wife, Kim Kardashian, to stop him.
A few days back, the musician caught the world's attention. He said that he has decided to run for president this year. A lot of his fans were pretty excited about this news, but some were a little apprehensive. The same was the case with the 38-year-old reality star, who currently features in Netflix's real estate show, Selling Sunset.
She shared her opinion on Kanye West's recent statement through a tweet. She wrote to Kim, "You are only hope to stop this disgusting joke and distraction he is pulling. Please," followed by the praying hands' emoticon. One of her followers sarcastically responded, "Chrishell sweetie we were rooting for u." The realtor didn't like this comment and said, "Well I'm sorry but this is an incredibly important election and to try and distract and use it as a publicity stunt is beyond even what I thought Kanye was capable of. If that point of view makes you no longer like me-so be it." Check out her tweet below:
Chrishell thinks that Kanye is using this opportunity as a publicity stunt because he has done this before in the year 2015. At the MTV Video Music Awards, he declared that he would run for the presidency in 2020. However, last year in November, he postponed it and said that he would now run in the year 2024. Such an indecisive attitude hints that he doesn't have any plan or issues in mind. Otherwise, he would know how to strategize every move of his whole campaign. Elections are just four months away, and we have not yet heard if he is with a political party or running as an independent candidate. Right now, the candidacy seems between Republican President Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden. Many readers would know that Kanye is very close to being Trump and appreciates his efforts. He has, however, recently distanced himself from Trump and said he no longer s the president.
Well, we hope after the murder of George Floyd and widespread Black Lives Matter movement throughout the states, Kanye would be taking his social status seriously. He might be wanting to change the system for good. Still, we don't think Kim is going to take Chrishell's criticism seriously. She Christine Quinn has to say about it. She comes across as a really opinionated person. She has garnered a massive following for herself in a short span of time.
Selling Sunset season 3 premieres on Netflix on Aug. 7.
