Austin was the agent on a coveted 18-million-dollar Ritz Carlton property that was 5,500 square feet with 5 beds and 5 baths. Austin stood to make hundreds of thousands of dollars on the deal and he was going to use that money to put a down payment on a place for him and his family. However, Jason took him off the listing, and there is a reason behind that.

"The agent the seller used to work with reached out to me, said the seller has decided he wants to work continue to work with his previous agent, so he does not want you inolved wit the sale. He's gonna allow me to work with the other agent," Jason explained.

When Austin asked if there was something wrong he did professionally to lose the listing for himself, Jason said he didn't know what was "going on behind the scenes." Austin said he felt used, and Jason offered Austin a 25% referral fee on the deal. However, in a private interview Jason gave, he insinuated that Austin lost the deal because of his own actions, which could have likely had to do with what went down with Sean since Jason was very unhappy with Austin and how he handled that situation.

"Austin's a fantastic agent. You know? He's proven himself over and over again. But this is a small town, and the way you handle yourself in every single situation matters significantly, and Austin needs to understand that."

What Jason said could mean that Austin has tarnished his reputation in some way and it could have ripple effects. Either that or it was Jason who took him off the listing because of his behavior with Sean. The true answer isn't clear, but Selling the OC agent Austin's sale loss is likely because of his actions.
