All the real estate agents in Selling the OC and Selling Sunset are under the brokerage of twin brothers Jason and Brett Oppenheim. Besides those two branches, the twins opened a Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, office in Selling the OC season 2, and an office in San Diego in Selling the OC season 3. In season 3, Jason revealed that the Orange County office was the top-performing office. Outside of sales, the drama runs high at the Oppenheim Group and Alex Hall has proven herself to be the real villain of the show.
Alex Hall Fought With Gio Helou
Alex Hall Snubbed Gio's Wife
Viewers first noticed Hall's villainous ways through the way she handled a situation with fellow castmate Gio in Selling the OC season 1. The fellow realtor approached Hall in private to talk about how his wife, Tiffany Helou, felt Hall ignored her at an office party; however, they seemed to resolve the issue after their conversation. Shortly after, Hall brought up the issue again in front of the rest of the Selling the OC cast, which includes bullies like Polly, Austin, and Tyler, during their office beach day, and everyone was seemingly against Gio.
In the footage from the office party in question, Hall obviously snubbed Tiffany. After resolving things with Gio she went on to make it a bigger issue and make Gio look unhinged for protecting his wife.
Hall goes out of her way to have the last say in any situation and doesn't care about stirring the pot.
Alex Hall Turned On Kayla Cordova
Alex Was Two-Faced
Selling the OC fans did not appreciate how quickly Hall turned on Kayla Cordova, considering the two were friends. Kayla was supposedly drunk at a hangout with some agents from the office and tried to kiss their colleague Tyler, which Hall did not like. Viewers watched Kayla become vulnerable with Hall multiple times on Selling The OC, so it was shocking when Hall would speak so terribly of Kayla behind her back. She immediately became hostile toward Kayla at the office, and the two even got into a heated argument during an office meeting.
In Selling the OC season 3, it came out that Hall went on a podcast and trash-talked Kayla, going so far as to say she was "psychotic" and had mental problems, but then Hall lied by saying she wasn't talking about Kayla. After Hall got caught in the lie, she tried to apologize to Kayla and the two hugged it out, but Kayla questioned Hall's authenticity.
Alex Hall Was A Bully Toward Jarvis & Rose
Alex Hall Says Nasty Things
Selling The OC fans did not like how Hall treated Jarvis and Rose. At the start of the series (via Netflix,) the duo was isolated from the rest of the group after Hall called them mean girls and bullies. However, to viewers, Hall was the one being a mean girl and a bully to Jarvis and Rose. She was always saying horrible things about the women to their colleagues and even spread a few rumors about how Rose gets listings from clients.
In the office meeting with the Selling the OC cast and Jason, Hall told Jarvis that her voice was annoying, which fans felt was a pinnacle mean girl moment for Hall. Every time Hall would even see Jarvis and Rose, she would say how no one wanted them around. Hall, who has an interior design background, has spoken out about how she felt about being labeled the villain. She itted there is more going on behind the scenes that viewers do not know about and that people shouldn’t be so quick to judge.
Alex Hall Played Tyler Stanaland
She Ditched Him In The End
Alex tried her luck with Tyler when he was fresh off his divorce, and the two were inappropriately flirty before then also. After they made out in the hot tub at the end of season 2, their connection didn't go anywhere. In Selling the OC season 3, Hall tried to spin the situation like it was all Tyler's fault (via Netflix.) Moreover, Hall started dating someone in season 3 but led Tyler on to think the door was still open only to ditch him for her new beau.
Hall has proven she is a villain based on how she treats people and presents herself.
She is spiteful and resentful toward her Selling the OC castmates and becomes fake when backed into a corner. She is very harsh with her words and leaves little to like because she comes off as a bully and a villain.
Selling the OC seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix.
