Since its premiere, Severance is one of the best-reviewed shows streaming right now, with season 2 having lived up to season 1's hype. The latest season saw the characters grow closer to the truth, but it ultimately left many in challenging positions going into season 3.

The series continued following Mark and his fellow Severance's season 2 ending, Mark's Innie and Outie clashed over control of his fate, with Innie Mark making a huge decision. While the season left its characters' fates unresolved, there is one actor whose appearance can now be ruled out.

Ben Stiller Being Glad He's Not In Severance Makes A Season 3 Cameo Unlikely

Stiller Almost Had An On-Screen Role In The Series

In a recent interview with Stiller shared that he considered playing a doctor in Severance, but the character ended up ultimately being scrapped.

In addition to having directed several successful movies in the past, Stiller is best known as a talented actor and comedian, so he undoubtedly would have brought that same skill to a role in Severance. However, speaking with Variety, Stiller shared that "there was a storyline that [they] were thinking about, but it just didn't feel right," highlighting that he was ultimately fine with leaving the character out. Though he did not specify more who exactly the doctor might have been, it could have been an intriguing prospect.
