When AppleTV+ confirmed season 2 of its hit show Severance, they promised fans that they would feel "like they never left", but the series has left a gap in television already. One month after the exhilarating finale, fans miss the show, with its coveted egg bars and many goats.

However, as the cast and crew work to create another exciting season, fans can rewatch their favorite episodes, craft their theories, and, ultimately, share their hopes and thoughts for what's about to come. Based on that, they have taken to Reddit to announce what they expect from the chapter. As the saying goes, the best of Severance is yet to come.

Who Was Recruited First: Mark Or Gemma?

The most mind-blowing revelation in season 1 was finding out Ms. Casey is Gemma, Mark's "dead" wife. However, this reveal didn't answer many questions. Instead, it raised even more: how far is Lumon involved with Mark's personal life? What makes him so valuable to the company?

Redditor u/i-eat-cereal-dry raises another point as they state that they're looking forward to finding out the details of Gemma's car accident, and "whether she or Mark" was the first Lumon became interested in recruiting. Through flashbacks, viewers might find out what happened to the couple in the next season. That would answer several questions, both personal to them and relating to how Lumon recruits (or kidnaps?) employees on a larger scale.

Happy Ending For Innies And Outies?

One of the best titles in AppleTV+'s catalog, Severance is just getting started. Nonetheless, it's hard not to think about where the story is heading.

Because of that, Irving and Burt form the best Severance couple, several viewers hope to see how this innie/outie duality will play out in season 2.

Milchick's Backstory

Mr. Milchick is undoubtedly one of the most compelling characters in the show, which is only highlighted by Tramell Tillman's superb tone-setting performance. One look or smile from him and the whole scene changes, bringing out the eerie atmosphere of the company.

However, despite knowing that his first name is Seth (Ms. Cobel calls him that once), season 1 doesn't give many clues regarding the character outside Lumon. Redditor u/HolidayAd8611 can't wait to learn about "Milchick's backstory" in season 2, where viewers will likely be able to see the character's life in the "outside world".

How Will Helly Explain That She's An Eagan?

One of the most brilliant fan theories regarding Helly was proven correct in the finale, making it an earned payoff for Redditors watching the show closely. Finding out that Helly R. is, in fact, Helena Eagan was a major plot point, and it remains one of season 1's highlights.

Likewise, one of the most anticipated scenes in season 2 is the follow-up of that discovery. One Redditor says they "want to know how Helly will explain herself to everyone and how they will take it". The knowledge might serve a purpose to Helly's innie, but the news will have a meaningful impact on the other refiners too, and it's exciting to think of how they'll process the fact.

Back From The Dead

The mystery around Gemma has been taken to the next level by season 1's closing. The idea of Mark reuniting with his so-believed dead wife is compelling on its own, but the story arc of Gemma/Ms. Casey might be just the tip of the iceberg.

One Redditor thinks that season 2 will likely "hint" at Lumon using people who have suffered brain deaths and bringing them "back" to work as part-time employees, just like Ms. Casey. This horrific concept fits perfectly in the universe of Severance, and it could explain Lumon's motivations.

Who's The Grandfather Jame Eagan Refers To?

James Eagan standing in Severance.

In the enthralling finale, viewers were introduced to Helena's father and current CEO of Lumon Industries, Jame Eagan. The eerie, wax-like look of the character raised several questions regarding Lumon's real motivations, whether it's immortality or cloning techniques.

Jame's words were also intriguing, especially when he mentions "The Grandfather" to Helly. One Redditor questions "who" or even "what" is the "Grandfather" that Jame refers to, a puzzle they are looking forward to seeing solved in the next season. The name might likely refer to Kier, but the unique term may hide a deeper meaning.

Goats And More Goats

As it couldn't be different, the goats remain the aspect that makes viewers scratch their heads trying to understand. However, there's no reason for despair. Creator of the AppleTV+ series Dan Erickson has already announced that a planned explanation for the baby goats exists, and viewers will get their answers.

Like many fans, one Redditor is eager to find out what they are there for and if there's a connection between the goats "being ready" and the files that Mark and his team refine in the MDR department. Whatever their purpose is, audiences and characters alike will probably unravel that puzzle together.

Paul Rudd As Kier Eagan When?

For one Redditor, the season could start the first episode by showing "the birth" of the Eagan cult and it could include "Paul Rudd as Kier" since the states that the picture of the founder in Harmony's shrine looks like the actor.

Fans have also compared the figure to Ben Stiller's recurrent co-star Owen Wilson, given the similarity of their noses. If Kier is a weird blend of Rudd and Wilson is hard to say, but the "Chosen One" is at the center of many mysteries fans are looking forward to discovering in season 2.
