Developer Flying Wild Hog and publisher Devolver Digital have launched a new trailer for Shadow Warrior 3 with a gory teaser trailer in July 2020, promising an even more hilariously chaotic experience than its predecessors. While plans were initially in place for the first-person action title's 2021 rollout, said plans have since changed.

Devolver Digital has unleashed a fresh look at Shadow Warrior 3 in the form of a "Official 2022 Delay Trailer." The nearly one-minute video seems pretty standard until it reaches the 33-second mark, where a dramatic pause helps to truly convey the weight of this delay announcement. No longer will the exciting first-person shooter launch across PC and consoles in 2021. Instead, Devolver Digital and Flying Wild Hog plan on bringing Shadow Warrior 3 to market sometime in 2022. An exact due date "will be announced soon," developers said during the mid-trailer pause.

Information about Shadow Warrior 3's revised release date could go live at random in the coming weeks, or Devolver Digital may wait to share the news during The Game Awards 2021, which fall on Thursday, December 9. Regardless of the when and where of it all, if the above video is any indication, the official release announcement will likely prove an interesting watch.
