In preparation for a consequential boxing match with surviving Elder of the Universe Tryco Slatterus a.k.a. The Champion of the Universe, superhero lawyer Jennifer Walters a.k.a. the Savage of super-strength as her cousin Bruce Banner.

Under her new role as an attorney of the Magistrati, She-Hulk is employed by the Multiversal cosmic entity The Living Tribunal and his agents of universal law. For her first otherworldly assignment, She-Hulk is sent to resolve a court case on the impoverished alien world of Skardon under the rule of The Champion of the Universe. Until a challenger worthy of The Champion's mettle rises to the occasion, Tryco will continue to rule over the planet with an iron fist. To align with Skardian rules, She-Hulk's dispute with The Champion must take place in the boxing ring, anything else will not be permitted.

The Champion Elder of the Universe

After nearly suffering the same fate as her contemporaries, She-Hulk decides to utilize a new tactic in order to defeat Tryco. With Adam Warlock's lover Gamora as a trainer, She-Hulk significantly increases her physical form through weight training. However, this feat is not accomplished by the She-Hulk but as the human Jennifer Walters. Having to train extensively for weeks on end as Walters, She-Hulk is rewarded with the strength needed to potentially topple a cosmic deity. Facing The Champion of the Universe in a rematch, She-Hulk ensures that The Champion's primordal power granting infinity gem is removed from his forehead.  Without the power of the gem at his disposal, She-Hulk literally backs Champion into a corner with her newfound additional strength.

Seemingly honoring his prior deal with Walters, Tryco is forced to relinquish control over Skardon, allowing the planet to return to some sense of normalcy. While She-Hulk hesitantly went into the Living Tribunal's case, Walters came out of the assignment a stronger and more capable superhero.
