The first season of Marvel’s the She-Hulk episode 9 mid-credit scene, Blonsky is back in prison for breaking his parole and turning into the Abomination. Wong pops through a portal and takes Blonsky with him to Kamar-Taj. Wong's reason for doing so is never revealed, but it has to be a good one since the Sorcerer Supreme is breaking many laws to keep Blonsky around.
In She-Hulk: Attorney at Law season 1, episode 3, Wong said he originally broke Blonsky/Abomination out of prison — for their bout in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this training location for the Masters of the Mystic Arts welcomes different life forms into their ranks, including Rintrah, an alien minotaur. So, Wong welcoming in someone like Abomination isn’t far-fetched. Wong never indicated if he and Blonsky were friends or not, just that they were sparring partners, so it seems likely that he helped the character escape his prison cell this time for purely selfish reasons.
Why Wong Helped Emil Break Out Of Prison
The simple explanation for Wong breaking Emil Blonsky out of prison may be that they're friends, but the act may instead be a more complicated tactic for Doctor Strange, where he was stealing Jonathan Pangborn’s power because he felt there were too many sorcerers.
How This Sets Up Abomination's MCU Future
After the Scarlet Witch decimated the forces at Kamar-Taj in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and as the Avengers: Endgame, Wong became the Sorcerer Supreme, but with Strange returned, this may have caused animosity between the two, and the other sorcerers. Wong having his own personal Abomination may be a deterrent for people looking to start a coup.
No matter the reason for him breaking Emil Blonsky/Abomination out of prison again at the end She-Hulk: Attorney at Law season 1, it’s going to be interesting to see what Marvel's plan is for Wong, especially if he gets his own show, which he deserves. Hopefully, audiences will gain some insight into Wong’s decision, and whether it relates to Stephen Strange, in future MCU movies or shows. The legal ramifications of Emil Blonsky's second prison break may even be a great storyline for a potential season 2 of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
