Harrison Ford's comedy with a 94% approval on Rotten Tomatoes is climbing the streaming charts. The legendary actor, who is Oscar-nominated for his lead role in the 1986 drama Witness, has a busy 2025. He'll play Thaddeus Ross / Red Hulk, with a key role in Captain America: Brave New World. But the iconic Star Wars and Indiana Jones performer is doing his best work, these days, on the small screen, which is a change of pace.
Ford has largely stayed away from television in recent decades, save for the occasional guest appearance or cameo. That changed in the 2020s, with the screen titan boarding the Yellowstone spinoff 1923 as Jacob Dutton. He'll reprise the role when the Western returns for its second installment. But his only other starring TV role is currently trending.

Shrinking is making an impact on the streaming charts. The series, which streams on Apple TV+, recently debuted season 2 and took the ninth spot in the TV-centric Top 10 for the week of October 31 through to November 6, across all platforms. The television list was topped by The Diplomat on Netflix, followed by Marvel's Agatha All Along and the Paramount+ spy thriller Lioness.

Debuting in January 2023, the Apple TV+ comedy hails from Jason Segel and Ted Lasso collaborators Bill Lawrence and Brett Goldstein. Segel also stars, playing the therapist Jimmy who can't help getting overly involved in the lives of his patients. Barely keeping it together after the unexpected death of his wife and raising a teenage daughter, Jimmy has Dr. Paul Rhoades (Ford) to keep him in check. The cast of Shrinking also includes Jessica Williams, Christa Miller, Luke Tennie, Lupita Maxwell, Michael Urie, and Ted McGinley.

Ford Is Perfect (So Is The Rest Of The Cast)
Ford gives a quietly excellent role in Shrinking, sharing delightful scenes with Segel, Maxwell, and Williams, not to mention on-screen love interest Wendie Malick and on-screen daughter Lily Rabe. There's the dryness and lack of patience that's to be expected from a Ford character, but there's also a vulnerability that audiences may not readily associate with the man who made Indiana Jones an icon.
Shrinking season 2 consists of 12 episodes, while season 1 has 10.
