Batman's many allies. Titled Batman Secret Files, the new book features one-shot stories starring of Batman’s army, written and illustrated by some of today’s top creators.
The Signal is one of the more recent additions to the Batman canon. Though the character first appeared in 2014’s Batman #21, he would not become the Signal until later. A metahuman with the ability to manipulate both light and darkness, the Signal works as the “daytime” protector of Gotham City; he was also a member of the most recent incarnation of the Outsiders. Recent events in Gotham City have forced the Bat-Family to fall back and reassess their strategy. Stripped of many of the resources he had before, Batman has had to opt for a more low-tech approach to fighting crime. Furthermore, a new istration in Gotham City has taken a hardline stance against masked vigilantes, further complicating their work.
the Signal has returned to his role as the daylight hero of Gotham City. Much has changed in his absence, and when the new and mysterious White Market begins smuggling deadly weapons into the City, the Signal must leap into action to save the city. The press release promises the book will shake up the Signal’s world, as he must deal with a new and dangerous threat to Gotham.
In addition to having one of the best rogues’ galleries in comics, Batman also has an extensive array of allies, such as Nightwing, Oracle, Batwoman, and Red Hood, among others. Batman Secret Files will provide fans further looks at these fascinating characters; by starting with newer and lesser-known of the Bat-Family like Signal, it shows that the entirety of Batman’s army will be featured. The first look did not provide details on further characters who will appear in the series.
Batman has a large number of allies in Gotham City, such as Signal, and starting this July, they will get their turn to shine in Batman Secret Files.
