New Silent Hill Game Rating Corroborates Previous Leaks

The subtitle of The Short Message roughly lines up with Silent Hill leaks from earlier this year, which included the names "Anita" and "Maya" as well as mentioning "SMS messages." Those leaks were accompanied by images from a Silent Hill project purportedly in development, and those images were quickly taken down after Konami issued a copyright notice. Leakers also claimed that it was just one of three Silent Hill titles that Konami is currently working on, one of which was purported to be a short experience reminiscent of P.T., Silent Hills' playable demo.

As fans put more and more of the Silent Hill pieces together, an official reveal seems almost inevitable. Even the director of the Silent Hill movie updated fans in an interview, saying that Konami was relaunching the series, including Bloober Team's rumored Silent Hill 2 remake, and that his new Silent Hill film would be part of it. He also stated that he plans to release the film in 2023, so it sounds like Konami will have to unveil the truth in the near future.
