Jack Ryan season 5 isn't happening, he is working on a movie that will serve as a sequel to the show.
Beyond these more popular projects, however, Krasinski has stayed busy in Hollywood, directing, writing, and producing the 2024 family fantasy movie IF. He was also a producer for Paramount+'s Rosemary's Baby prequel Apartment 7A and A Quiet Place: Day One, all three movies produced under him and Allyson Seeger's Sunday Night Productions. He will soon be starring in Guy Ritchie's heist movie Fountain of Youth as well. Given his many credits in recent years, he's clearly broadening his horizons when it comes to making new movies and shows, taking risks as he crafts new stories for wide audiences.
John Krasinski's Silent River Will Be A New Thriller From Prime Video
The Show Extends Sunday Night Productions' Deal With The Studio
Krasinski's next big project with Prime Video will be Silent River, a thriller series whose title, premise, and production information have recently been revealed. This marks the second major thriller project for the actor to embark upon with the streaming service. Not only did his previous starring role in Jack Ryan warrant a movie, but also a spinoff starring Michael Peña's Ding Chavez that's currently in development.

4 Biggest Projects John Krasinski Has Done Since The Office
John Krasinski was most known for his role in The Office for years, but he's become a household name due to other projects in his filmography.
Now, Deadline reports that Krasinski will be starring in Prime Video's thriller series Silent River alongside Matthew Rhys, part of Sunday Night Productions' extended deal with Amazon MGM Studios. The show, created by Jack Ryan writer Aaron Rabin, follows its two leads as they realize a deeper connection to each other than they realize, as their small town is terrorized by a serial killer. Krasinski will be directing the first episode and several others in season 1, while Rabin will executive produce.
Another alum from the previous series, Andrew Bernstein, will be executive producing and directing for the show. Sunday Night Productions will see Krasinski, Seeger, and Alexa Ginsberg representing the studio as executive producers as well. Amazon MGM Studios' head of television Vernon Sanders also made a comment, expressing excitement for the thriller series' development and reteaming with its lead star for the project. Check out what Sanders had to say below:
We are thrilled to continue our work with John Krasinski, Allyson Seeger, and Sunday Night on this gripping series, which delves into the mysteries and secrets of small-town America. With John and Matthew Rhys attached to star in this wonderful story from Aaron Rabin, our global customers will be on the edge of their seats throughout this thought-provoking, psychological thriller.
Our Take On Krasinski's New Prime Video Thriller
Silent River Is Another Strong Step For His Career
Given Krasinski's focus on thriller TV shows for Prime Video, it's no surprise to learn the premise of Silent River before production has fully begun. With Rhys' own connection to Bernstein, who directed two episodes of The Americans, it seems like the perfect team has been put together to ensure the show is a success. More details are unlikely until filming has started, but Sunday Night's extended deal with Amazon highlights how much faith is being put into the new series.
