Juliette deduces that the girl Solo is talking about must have been 11 or 12 when the rebellion started, which would make Solo the same age as her. Even when other survivors tried to break into the vault to look for food, Solo's survival instincts kicked in, and he attempted to keep his promise to his father by killing them.
