Simon Pegg and Nick Frost will be at Awesome Con. The actors shot to stardom together with a series of winning projects—most made with celebrated writer/director Edgar Wright—including the sitcom Spaced, the “zom-com” Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End. Both actors have also thrived in their own rights, with Frost appearing in projects like Attack the Block, Truth Seekers, and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew and Pegg in the Mission: Impossible series, the J.J. Abrams Star Trek series, and The Boys. Their breakout film, Shaun of the Dead, celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2024.

Awesome Con is a three-day celebration of pop culture in Washington, DC, and will run from April 4 through 6 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. ScreenRant will also host a movie featuring co-creator Kevin Eastman and original actors Josh Pais, Brian Tochi, Robbie Rist, Corey Feldman, and Judith Hoag. Tied to the movie’s 40th anniversary, the cast and co-creator will look back on the making of the film and its surprising impact. Attendees will also have the chance to collect photos and autographs from the TMNT cast throughout the convention.
