A crafty Sims 4 player has thought of a perfect use for the empty space beneath their in-game stairs. The life simulation game, developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, allows players to create their own Sim character and then take them through the various stages of life. Since its release in 2014 the game has been ed through a wide variety of updates and expansions.
June 1 saw the release of EA's Summer Roap for the life simulation title.
Sims 4 Interior Decorator and Reddit loverstohaters recently revealed an imaginative method of in-game organization. The space underneath the stairs of a Sims 4 house is typically quite useless, since no pieces of furniture really fit. However, the Dream Home Decorator Pack allows the placement of small cubbies, which can be stacked on top of each other and used to store small items. loverstohaters has taken advantage of these cube organizers in order to utilize the space underneath the stairs as storage.
While the Dream Home Decorator Pack gave The Sims 4 a brand-new career path, and a new use for the space under the stairs, the game's biggest expansion of the year is still yet to arrive. Within the last few days, popular Sims 4 players and streamers have begun receiving postcards which hint at what awaits them in the game's expansion. The postcards showcase a countryside town, suggesting that the expansion will focus on a rural country setting. The cards also reveal that a worldwide announcement will be held on the Sims' YouTube channel on June 10.
The Sims 4 has received a massive onslaught of post-launch since its release back in 2014. This has provided players with an endless stream of content to explore, but paid DLC has also had the negative effect of increasing the total price of the complete game to hundreds of dollars. Still, expansions such as the Dream Home Decorator Pack give fans new ways to play, with loverstohaters' imaginative cubby system being just one example.
The Sims 4 is available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
