new DLC Sims 4 High School Years is all about the teen life stage, adding a host of new adolescent experiences as well as the first active school experience in the series' history. While the EP adds a lot of new features to the game, it seems no matter what the setting, Sims 4 players can't escape the randomness of in-game deaths.

The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion Pack comes with an entirely new world called Copperdale, which includes Copperdale High, the first truly interactive educational experience ever made available for the game. Players can choose to follow their teenage Sims to school each day with a mechanic that functions similarly to active careers in The Sims 4, with different goals given to them to complete throughout the day. One of the main daily Sims 4 High School Years features is the two classes per day students need to attend. Although there are no real activities for players to do while these occur, Sim students will typically take notes and gain ive skills as they listen to the lecture.

Reddit  galadrielkenobi shared a darkly hilarious moment this week that occurred while playing with the new Sims 4 High School Years Expansion Pack: the high school teacher dying in the middle of class. Their screenshot shows the teacher laying on the ground prior to the Grim Reaper's arrival, as the students simply stare blankly ahead as if waiting for the lecture to continue. The stated that their teen Sim did get a sad Moodlet from this happening, but otherwise there was no in-class reaction at all to the teacher's sudden demise from old age.

Sudden Deaths In The Sims 4

The player notes in their post's title that this teacher's death is unrelated to the recent Sims 4 aging glitch that came alongside the new base game update, which has been causing Sims to randomly age up at incredibly fast speed. Rather, this was simply the sort of strangely macabre occurrence that makes The Sims such an iconic series. As strange as it may sound, deaths are a fan-favorite part of the game for many players, particularly because of the random, weird ways in which it often befalls Sims. In this case the lack of student reactions is the icing on the cake, with their blank expressions seeming to just question if this means they can get out of class early.

Funnily enough, this isn't the first time a new Sims 4 DLC has led players to discover new entertaining circumstances for Sim death. After the release of the buggy Sims 4 My Wedding Stories Game Pack, weddings were taking so long that many players found Sims dying in the middle of the ceremony. While these random deaths can sometimes be annoying, they can just as often be a source of amusement for players because of their sheer ridiculous nature that can only happen in The Sims 4.
