The remix increases the percussion elements in the song, which adds more energy to the piece, and the main melody line is no longer played by a violin, which distances the song from its more classical counterpart. As the song progresses, the sound of an organ replaces more subtle instrumentation and makes the piece sound much more lighthearted.
This remix is a huge dose of nostalgia for long-time fans of the Sims franchise, particularly those whose favorite installment is The Sims 2. Even though two more titles came after it that are more technologically advanced, the second game has many unique features that fans miss in newer entries in the series. Things like in-depth lore, better Sim autonomy, and a huge amount of supernatural character options set the title apart from every other game in the franchise. This remix is incredibly well made, and likely immediately conjured memories of the game for many fans.
The Sims series is undoubtedly one of the most famous and influential simulation games of all time. Every entry in the series has contained unique elements that differentiate it from the rest, while still keeping the core gameplay intact. Particularly in a time where Sims 4 players are finding themselves disappointed in the content being released for the game, older titles may become more appealing. This excellent remix might just inspire fans to dust off their copies of older titles in The Sims series and take them for a spin.
