In a recent tweet by Electronic Arts on X (formerly Twitter), brand-new styles and colors available for swimsuits were revealed. The suits have different swatches that can be swapped around, and the update even includes new colors for some of the existing Hot Weather styles.

These updates are free to anyone and are available in the base game, which means no DLC packs are required to enjoy the new swatches. There are also new suits for the different stages of life, showcasing a new Toddler suit and a Child suit in the preview.

Adding in new swimsuit colors is perfect for the summer season, but Simmers without a few of the DLC packs might not be as excited about this update. Some of The Sims 4 expansion packs are considered staples in order to have fulfilling gameplay, with Seasons being one of the most highly recommended packs for first timers. Having swanky swimsuits is fun, but having the weather to go with it will add another layer of gameplay for fans. Though pools can be utilized in the base-game, having the extra element of the Summer Season will really make this free update enjoyable.

This announcement is not the only thing Electronic Arts has in store for The Sims 4 this season. The company recently announced the new Season of Love update, which will include new date styles for Sims as well as new locations for Sims to visit while on their date. The details of this roap aren't fully disclosed, but the swimsuit update does appear to be one of the "Stylish Updates" mentioned in the post on The Sims 4 website, considering the hints that were dropped relate to water and swimming.

There is always so much to do within the Sims world and each new update and add-on is an exciting experience for players.
