Update: Read our review of The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack!
It's almost time for The Sims 4 to release their newest DLC expansion pack, The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle. The developers of The Sims franchise are no strangers to producing extra content for their titles even years into their game's lifespans, and The Sims 4 alone has had dozens of able content packs since its original release in 2014.
The game's last big expansion, The Sims 4: Discover University, saw players returning to the collegiate experience formerly seen in The Sims 3: University Life, just like the one before that, Island Living, was this new game's version of The Sims 3: Island Paradise. The Sims 4 expansion, Eco Lifestyle, has no such analogous previous title in the franchise, and because of this it has garnered some interest among fans who aren't entirely sure what to expect.
Thankfully, those players who are looking forward to The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle won't have much longer to wait, as the game is planned to release at midnight tonight, on June 5th, 2020. The new The Sims 4 DLC will add an entirely new city for players to explore and task them with making it a cleaner, more habitable place to live.
What Is The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack About?
According to The Sims 4's NPCs as well.
As players improve their own land begin to make small changes, The Sims 4: Eco Lifestyle's overworld will begin to reflect their actions. The game is also offering two new career paths for players to pursue, both focused around cleaning and making a difference in the community. The first new Sims 4 career is Civil Designer, and players who choose this path will be able to make a direct impact on the town's well-being by creating useful Eco Inventions. Conversely, if players want to focus on scrounging for items and re-purposing goods, they can turn their ion into a career with the new Freelance Crafter job.
Fans of The Sims 4 won't have to wait much longer to access the game's new expansion pack, as The Sims 4: Eco Lifstyle is scheduled to release on June 5, 2020. This new The Sims 4 content will be available on the PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Macintosh computers and will cost $39.99, not including the cost of the base game.
