Christine Brown of flew to New Jersey during the pandemic.
The TLC show offers an in-depth look at Kody Brown and his four wives: Meri, Christine, Janelle, and Robyn. The Browns fled Utah out of fear of persecution for being fundamentalist Mormons. Last season showed their family struggling to keep their ideals intact, and many feel that some of the wives are getting fed up with their situation.
Christine surprised fans with a festive Cinco de Mayo Instagram post where she revealed she had her first vaccine and was feeling great. She wrote that she was taking part in the festivities by munching on some tacos and guacamole. Christine added that while she did have her first injection, she would “lose it like a piñata loses its candy” if she started to feel any side effects.
TLC fans made it very clear that they were thrilled to hear she had listened to government guidelines and received the first of two shots to help combat the deadly virus. But while viewers were happy, many itted that they were surprised and assumed that they would have taken the uneducated route of saying they didn’t believe in it. Fans will recall she used to not use a microwave in fear of the complications it could cause. One comment read, “Good for her for protecting herself and her family and being vocal about it.”
Naturally, some anti-vaxxers took to the comment section, where they tried to spread misinformation. Still, many of the comments were positive, and viewers feel she should absolutely share that she received the vaccine. Sister Wives fans also questioned if the other wives, especially Robyn and Kody, had lined up for the vaccine. Robyn and Kody had stated they were fearful of the pandemic, and many feel they should have been first in line, though it has yet to be seen. At least Christine took part in the movement toward getting back to our new normal, and fans commend her for it.
