Twitter Foone has grabbed attention recently by playing Doom run on any and all computers, even laughably weak ones like a pregnancy test. Foone is a self-proclaimed "Hardware/software necromancer" and has taken on similarly odd projects before.
In the process of working on this modding, Foone attracted attention on Twitter for revealing that the electronic components of a digital pregnancy test have nothing to do with the testing. The basic components of a digital pregnancy test are an LCD screen, a light sensor, a few LED's, a micro-controller, and a battery along with the same paper test strip that exists in non-digital tests. All of the computer parts are there to read the test strip in order to more clearly convey the results, as the paper strip's results are often hard to parse out without help. While it may cost a few dollars more for a digital test, it is important to that certainty is important with pregnancy.
Foone revealed to Skyrim, as well as all of Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up".
Their most d. The graphics are not impressive, but it is possible to tell what's happening as Foone runs through some doors and shoots at some demons. Currently, all of the parts required to run Doom do not fit within the pregnancy test's limited casing, but Foone assures that by the end of their work everything will be hidden away.
This is a fun story about an unexpected modded piece of tech, but many people on Twitter are upset about its particulars. Some s have expressed anger that the test really isn't running doom because Foone had to replace the screen and processor. While some parts did have to change for the idea to work, like the Ship of Theseus, it is possible for some things to change without completely altering the whole. It is still impressive that there is a computer and screen small enough, but complex enough to both fit in a pregnancy test and run Doom.
