There is only one more DLC character left for PlayStation character. The penultimate DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will be Kazuya from Tekken, which wasn't the most exciting reveal in the world. It could mean the last DLC fighter will be a huge reveal.
The DLC announcements for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have been a mixed bag. There were some series that deserved representation in the game that finally got fighters, like Joker for Persona and Hero for Dragon Quest. There were also some characters that disappointed fans, like Fire Emblem: Three Houses, as many feel that Fire Emblem is overrepresented in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
Two of the most interesting fighters to come to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in DLC were Banjo-Kazooie andMinecraft, as they're owned by Microsoft. The addition of these characters meant that there was now a fighting game with representatives from two of the three big console makers. It's down to the third company to play ball and allow Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to become a legendary game in the history of the industry.
Smash Bros. Could Be Nintendo & PlayStation Fighting Game
The final DLC fighter should be a character owned by Sony, such as Kratos from God of War, Nathan Drake from Uncharted, or Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. Even PaRappa the Rapper would be awesome. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has fulfilled the wishes of many fans, as lots of characters that people have wanted for decades have made it in, like Ridley, King K. Rool, Banjo-Kazooie, and Simon Belmont.
The addition of the Microsoft characters means that there could be a fighting game with representatives from Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox. This would be tricky to pull off, considering Sony's attitude toward cross-play with its competitors, but if anyone could do it, it's probably Masahiro Sakurai, who's discussed the possibility of retirement in recent months and it's unlikely that he will work on the next Super Smash Bros. game. If Sakurai could unite the three console makers in a single game, then that would be the perfect highlight to end his career.
Then again, considering how disappointing some of the DLC for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been, it wouldn't be surprising for the final fighter to be someone underwhelming. If the final DLC fighter was a cowboy from 1-2 Switch or Draguax from Ring Fit Adventure, then fans could at least be happy that it's not another Fire Emblem character. However, a PlayStation character would be ideal.
