The almost never-ending debate on just who could make it into Super Smash Bros. is one of the things that makes the series so intoxicating. This gaming crossover has incorporated over 80 video game characters into one of the biggest fighting games ever, and there seem to be no more rules dictating who can make it into the game anymore. There's one remaining slot for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate's roster, but what about the final batch of Mii fighters that will surely come alongside them?
They might not be the most popular characters in the game, but the Mii Brawler, Gunner, and Swordsman are all playable characters in Super Smash Bros. that allow players to use their Miis as fighters. Players can create Miis of themselves or any character they think should be in Smash and then dress them up accordingly. Ever since Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS, Nintendo has been releasing Mii costume DLC packs that offer players outfits they couldn't find in the base game.
Most of these costumes ended up being based on characters that aren't fully playable in the game. For example, fans of Sans from Undertale might be disappointed that he's not a part of the roster, but his outfit is available for Mii fighters. From Tifa Lockheart to Spring Man, there's a bunch of characters that aren't fully playable but can be partially realized as Miis. Since most Miis are characters too unlucky to get a full slot on the roster, the next wave of Mii costumes is likely going to be the ones who didn't make the final cut for a fighter.
What Smash Bros. Ultimate Mii Fighter Costumes Could Be Added Next
The Kingdom Hearts series has a ionate fanbase that's been clamoring for Sora's inclusion as a Smash fighter for years, but Sephiroth's inclusion in this DLC pack makes it seem less likely that Sora will be ing as well. He would make for a great Mii Swordfighter in this case, however. Master Chief and the Doom Slayer are both phenomenal candidates to represent first-person shooters in Smash, and it's possible one or both could be a Mii costume.
Crash Bandicoot is certainly another highly requested fighter, but he'd also be a good candidate for a Mii costume in the event he fails to get in. Similarly, characters like Rayman, Jak and Daxter, or even God of War's Kratos would make for good Mii skins. However, Nintendo could also add some costumes from within its own intellectual property and bring skins like Ghirahim from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, or characters like Boney or Kumatora from Mother 3. It's almost impossible to guess who the real final fighter is at this point, but the Mii costumes in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate have much more wiggle room in comparison.
