The concept of this concept has been masterfully shown in TNT's series that truly makes it something notable indeed.

the intricacies of this particular train and its functioning. Keeping this in mind, here are ten of the most pressing questions that people have about the Snowpiercer train itself.

Aren't The Class Divisions In The Train Somewhat Ridiculous?

People in the back of the train.

One thing that should definitely be pointed out when it comes to the train is that the class divisions — while definitely interesting and somewhat poetic — are absolutely ridiculous.

There's no way that such a barbaric and archaic system would've ever been adopted and universalized amongst people in the future.

Do The Train Tracks Require Any Maintenance Whatsoever?

Snowpiercer train.

The technology behind Snowpiercer is definitely quite impressive in its own right, but one can't deny that upkeep is still required to keep these mechanical parts working seamlessly.

So, the fact that the train tracks that Snowpiercer constantly travels upon required little to no upkeep — especially given the harsh weather conditions as well — is rather hard to believe.

For Someone Who's Supposed To Be Impoverished, Isn't Andre In Too Good A Shape?

Andre in Snowpiercer.

The protagonist of the show is a person from the tail section who decides to kickstart a revolution that would alter the status quo of the train itself. he seems to be a bit too strong for his current situation.

Surely feeding on those scarce insect protein bars would have him sapped?

Why Didn't The Elite Class Just Distribute Birth Control In The Tail To Control The Population?

L.J. Folger in Snowpiercer.

It's communicated time and time again that the Elite Class needs to control the population in the tail end of the train — something that was very much required given the sheer numbers of the tail-enders and their inclination towards revolting.

However, if the people in the Elite Class were smart enough, they would've realized that something as simple as injecting the protein bars with birth control — or something else along the same lines — would've been a smarter way to deal with this issue.

Why Didn't Snowpiercer Decouple Its Cars When Big Alice Rammed Into It?

Snowpiercer Outside Big Alice

The Season 1 finale sees Wilford's train, Big Alice, crash into Snowpiercer before forcibly connecting the two trains in order to take over and make first with Wilford's troops.

However, if Snowpiercer really wanted to avoid outside interference, it could've just decoupled the car that Big Alice had connected to. Instead, for the purposes of the plot, this angle was conveniently ignored.

Why Didn't The People Who Desperately Wanted To Board The Snowpiercer Obstruct The Tracks?

In the Snowpiercer train.

Apparently, after the advent of the Ice Age was guaranteed, people rushed Snowpiercer in order to save themselves. They were so desperate to board the train that they even went so far as to attack the heavily-armed security of Wilford Industries.

If these people were really craving for a seat that bad, then why didn't they just force the train to stop by blocking the tracks with vehicles, debris, or anything else along the same lines?

How Do The People On The Train Manage To Print Out So Many Flyers?

Wilford in Snowpiercer.

Given the fact that the population of the train is confined to such a narrow space with limited resources, one would assume that most resources would be really hard to come by in such a space.

Yet, we see countless flyers being printed out during the show without any worries whatsoever. Did the people on the train really have so much paper and different colors of ink that this decision was considered to be a feasible one?

Aren't The Front-Enders Too Accepting When It Comes To Wilford's Obvious Atrocities?

Snowpiercer Folgers.

While it might be true that people with a higher standard of living do tend to be somewhat ignorant when it comes to the realities of the world, the fact of the matter is that the atrocities happening on the train were quite disgusting indeed.

Not only were the elite class completely fine with ignoring this, but then even went so far as to allow their children to be brainwashed with Wilford's teachings, which is definitely rather odd indeed.

How Did The People In Snowpiercer Not Know About A Murder In Their Close-Knit Community?

a scene from the Snowpiercer show.

It would be unrealistic to assume that Snowpiercer houses more than 10,000 engers. So, it's only a given that news of a murder that occurs in such a close-knit community would spread like wildfire.

However, for some reason, most of the train's inhabitants are blissfully ignorant of this fact, which is rather odd... and rather hard to believe, as well.

How Did The Tail-Enders Manage To Get Their Hands On So Many Weapons?

Daveed Diggs in Snowpiercer TV show.

For people who are supposed to be impoverished and lacking most of the basic things that everyone in Snowpiercer's upper-class cabins has, it's rather odd that the tail-enders were so well-equipped to revolt against the upperclassmen.

Unless the revolutionaries ended up painstakingly making weapons for each and every tail-ender, it's rather hard to fathom that these disenfranchised people ended up having so many weapons at their disposal.
