What Happened in Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 12?
Jinwoo vs. The Ant King Is Nothing Short of Fantastic
Even though, initially, Sung Jinwoo failed to predict the tragedy that would occur, believing that the party formed by the Koreans and the Japanese was enough to contain the threat, Jinwoo sensed the problem on Jeju Island, tagging along to protect his fellow S-rank Hunters from a swarm of magic beast ants with his shadow soldier. Jinwoo uses the potions given by the system to cure the S-Rank hunters' injuries except for Cha Hae In, who is in a grave condition and requires the quick assistance of a strong healer. But after killing Ryuji Goto, the Ant King returned, having sensed Jinwoo’s strong aura.
The Ant King wanted to take his place at the top of the food chain, challenging Jinwoo to prove his worth as the king of humans. The Ant King is a formidable beast, but despite struggling at first, Jinwoo kept fighting, dominating the battle, battering it, and attacking restlessly, making his opponent question himself and try to run for his life. However, despite defeating the Ant King, the danger isn’t over since they still need to cure Cha Hae In, with the episode ending as Jinwoo appears to have found a way to do so.
What Will Happen in Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 13?
Solo Leveling Season 2 Finale Will Put an End to the Jeju Island Arc
There's a lot to look forward to in episode 25, which will follow up on the aftermath of the victory of Jinwoo against the Ant King, showing how the S-rank survivors will leave Jeju Island and the end of the conflict with Japan. However, according to the story revealed on the Solo Leveling website, Jinwoo will find a way to save Cha Hae-in despite its serious condition that not even the Holy Water of Life can cure.
"Sung Jinwoo came up with a plan to save Cha Hae-In, who was in a desperate condition. Her last hope, the Holy Water of Life, was not effective, and she was in desperate need of help. Despite its many sacrifices, the fourth raid... ended in victory for all the hunters. Having shown his power both at home and abroad, Jinwoo is thrown into a new battle in search of greater power."
Moreover, Korea now has to mourn the loss of the healer Min Byung Gyu, but has also come to know about the real power of their new S-rank hunter Sung Jinwoo, through the international broadcast. This way, Jinwoo might be on another level from the rest of the Korean S-Rank Hunters, but a new scenery will open before him, which may help him keep leveling up.
Some Changes From the Manhwa Prove to be Good on Jinwoo Vs. The Ant King
Solo Leveling Season 2’s Most Awaited Fight Lives Up to Fans’ Expectations
In a previous episode, Solo Leveling’s anime adaptation made Jinwoo look equally strong to the Japanese S-Rank Hunter Ryuji Goto during their sparring match. However, this served to be more of a shock for viewers when Solo Leveling Season 2, Episode 12, revealed that Goto was easily beheaded off-screen by The Ant King. Additionally, it also highlights how the perception of the audience of the Ant King is of an overpowered monster, which seems matched to Jinwoo, with him even struggling a little, but this slowly changes until showing the Ant King’s point of view, where Jinwoo is even more monstrously powerful than him.

"Good News Will Spread": The Creator of Solo Leveling Has Something Special Up Their Sleeve
Solo Leveling's creator, Chugong, has some good news that will be shared later this year and it may be about their next surprise project.
The anime also skipped some dialogue, with one of Jinwoo funnily telling Tusk to avoid damaging any humans and Ma Dongwook being impressed by Tusk’s powers. This helped maintain the focus on the action without cutting the flow of the fight. Also, contrary to the manhwa, where the TV station cuts the broadcast to not show how the S-rank hunters are one-sidedly overwhelmed by the Ant King in the anime, this just stops due to a camera issue, which may seem like a cliché, but it's less somber.
Nevertheless, the anime has created enough anticipation to have fans at the edge of their seats waiting for a new episode to drop, which has made Solo Leveling break many records. That means, there is no doubt that, with its incredible success, the season finale will connect with a sequel, teasing a new arc for Solo Leveling Season 3. Fans should keep an eye on Solo Leveling news as another season is far more than likely going forward for the franchise.
