A new trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been released, and it reveals much more about the film. It's no secret Lucasfilm's second Star Wars anthology had one of the more peculiar paths to the big screen in recent memory, with behind-the-scenes turmoil that rivaled Justice League. Fortunately, director Ron Howard steadied the ship with his veteran hands, and Solo looks poised to be one of the summer's biggest blockbusters. It would be nice for all involved if we could look back at all the worrying and laugh.
As has become par for the course during the Star Wars renaissance, there's much being held back for the actual premiere. But that doesn't mean marketing is completely void of juicy material for fans to sink their teeth into. On the contrary, the Solo trailer is full of interesting elements and secrets, which we've assembled here. We've started with some of the bigger bits and will update this post with more.

Star Destroyer Construction
The trailer opens on Han's home planet of Corellia, and we see an Imperial Star Destroyer being built in the sky. This harkens back to the Super Bowl spot, which showed a young Han g up for service in the Empire. Solo is borrowing heavily from Legends, and it looks like Han's backstory is one of those aspects. In the old EU, Han served in the Imperial Academy before getting kicked out for stopping an officer from beating Chewbacca. Solo will detail the two's life debt, and it all started here.
Enfys Nest

One of the more mysterious characters at this point in Solo's marketing is Enfys Nest, who is one of the movie's villains. It's recently been revealed Enfys is a she and leads a gang called the Cloud-Riders. Both trailers have teased an old Western-style showdown between Enfys and Han, but it looks like we're going to have to wait until the premiere to find out how Enfys fits into the narrative.
Han & Lando At the Bar
We've known for a while Solo will show how Han acquired the Millennium Falcon from Lando Calrissian, which in both Legends and canon went down in a game of sabacc. Here, we see what looks to be the beginnings of that match, with Han buying a seat at the table by going all-in. The setting of the game seems to be Solo's version of the cantina (which most Star Wars films feature) and was recently spotlighted in a Denny's commercial. This looks like a hive of scum and villainy.
Han, Chewie, and the Falcon
One of the first shots from Solo we saw was Han standing in the shadow of the vehicle he would grow to call home. That scene is used again in the full trailer, only there's a new addition. Chewbacca is in the shot now, with the two companions iring the Millennium Falcon with great reverence. Chewie is also added into the wide shot of Han and Qi'ra walking right before Beckett pitches them the job. It's curious the Wookiee was absent in the teaser, but included in those sequences here.
Qi'ra and Han Reunite

Well before Han met Chewie, Luke Skywalker, or Princess Leia, Qi'ra was his oldest companion. The two grew up on the streets of Corellia fighting to survive, but apparently went on separate paths at some point. In the new trailer, we see the two reunited in a fancy establishment owned by Dryden Vos (more on him in a minute). Qi'ra teases Han by telling the smuggler he's a bit rough around the edges, but still looks good. They seem to have a playoff dynamic that could go in a number of ways. Maybe Qi'ra has a little bit of Leia in her.
Beckett's Job Pitch
The character of Tobias Beckett fills the mentor role in this Star Wars film, taking a young Han under his wing in the life of crime. Beckett, who is modeled after Long John Silver, is eager to land a huge score and wants to take part in a job being put together by Dryden Vos. In his sales pitch to Han, Beckett calls Vos a "big shot gangster." The task seems to be robbing the Conveyex.
Dryden Vos Revealed
Other than Enfys Nest, Paul Bettany's Dryden Vos is the closest thing Solo has to an antagonist. Bettany replaced Michael K. Williams, who had to leave the film during its reshoots due to schedule conflicts. The trailer gives fans their first look at Dryden, who appears to have scars all over his face - perhaps prices paid for working his way up the criminal ladder. Towards the end of the trailer, we see Dryden take out some kind of weapon and attack, so he'll be getting in on the action.
Han With the Imperials
As Han looks to get employment with the Empire, he lists some of his valuable skills to increase his chances of landing work. As we see footage reminiscent (or recycled) from the teaser trailer, Han tells a superior officer that he's an excellent driver and flyer, which would surely make him a great asset. Obviously, things eventually don't go to plan, seeing that Han ends up resorting to a life of crime to find his place in the universe.
Han Gets His Blaster

People are curious to see just how much of Han's origin will be shown in Solo. In addition to learning how he met Chewbacca and won the Falcon, fans will get the answer to the question of where Han's iconic blaster came from. It's a gift he receives from Beckett when he s their crew for the big job.
Lando Calrissian
Ever since Donald Glover was cast as Lando, audiences have been very excited to see the performance. What read as perfect on-paper is gold onscreen, as Glover perfectly encapsulates everything fans love about Lando. His brief scenes and lines in the trailer are laced with the trademark swagger. Lando has always come across as the coolest guy in the galaxy. There aren't many out there who can get away with calling Han, "baby."
