Fall Guys with a range of new content. Mediatonic's announced that Sonic fans will have all new rewards and levels to enjoy in its platform battle royale, with some familiar characters in tow.
Fall Guys sees characters known as Beans competing in a series of platformer-type challenges, and since its launch in August 2020, the title has been no stranger to licensing deals with timed skins and events based on popular IPs. Whether it's movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas or Godzilla, or costumes based on games like Doom or Ghost Of Tsushima, these events are popular within the Fall Guys community and give players more of an incentive to earn Crowns to purchase the themed cosmetics before they expire.
A five-day Sonic The Hedgehog event was announced via a tweet on the official Fall Guys Twitter . A post on the Fall Guys website provided further information, such as the reveal of a brand new Sonic-inspired level, "Bean Hill Zone," inspired by the first level in Sonic The Hedgehog, Green Hill Zone. The level features new mini-games involving the gold rings that the speedy blue hedgehog is so fond of. On top of the new level, players will be able to earn skins based on Sonic, Eggman, Tails, Knuckles, and Super Sonic for their Beans to wear long after the event has finished.
Fall Guys is Free-To-Play Across Multiple Devices
For Sonic The Hedgehog fans who are keen to try out this themed event, but haven't experienced Fall Guys before, now is a good time to try out the cartoony platform title. Although PlayStation Plus subscribers got the title for free at its 2020 launch, Fall Guys became free-to-play earlier this year in a popular move that crashed servers when it launched with new content, crossplay, and cross-progression across PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC. It has, however, moved to a Season model for those willing to pay for exclusive items, level unlocks, and tier skips.
The blue speedster is only available for the next 5 days, with the Sonic's Adventure event running from August 11 to August 15. Given the Sonic The Hedgehog-based rewards.
