Summary

  • Shadow the Hedgehog steals the show in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, doing the iconic Akira motorcycle slide.
  • Keanu Reeves voices Shadow, adding star power and coolness factor to the movie.
  • Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles chase down Shadow on the Dark Rider motorcycle in an exciting city chase scene.

addition of Shadow the Hedgehog to the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie series is one of the most exciting parts of the third film, with the video game character being the epitome of cool. Luckily, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 already seems to be doing a good job of pulling this tone off, as the first trailer has proven.

The first trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is out now, showing off Team Sonic, a heroic Dr. Robotnik, and a first look at Keanu Reeves' Shadow the Hedgehog. The trailer reveals that GUN has asked Team Sonic to help take down Shadow, a task that they clearly aren't ready for, as Shadow takes Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles down with ease. This highlights how big of a threat Shadow will be in Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but this one shot proves that he will be as cool as he is dangerous.

Shadow Doing The Akira Slide In Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Looks So Cool

& It Teases An Incredible Chase Scene

Several shots in Sonic the Hedgehog 3's first trailer show Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles chasing Shadow throughout a city. While Team Sonic is running and flying, Shadow can be seen using his preferred method of travel from the video games: the Dark Rider motorcycle. It is exciting enough to see the Dark Rider in live-action, but one shot makes this scene even cooler.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will release on December 20, 2024.

In the trailer, a shot can be seen where Shadow does the iconic Akira motorcycle slide while on the Dark Rider. The Akira slide has been referenced in all kinds of movies and TV shows due to how cool it is, which is why it is great that the coolest character in the Sonic the Hedgehog movies will be doing it.

Shadow Is Already Stealing The Show In Sonic The Hedgehog 3

Especially Because Of Who Voices Him

Although Sonic the Hedgehog 3 will feature some incredible characters and actors, Shadow the Hedgehog is already stealing the show. The addition of Gerald Robotnik is fun, but Shadow is by far the biggest addition to the movie, with fans having been excited to see the character since Sonic the Hedgehog 2's post-credits scene.

On top of that, Shadow is voiced by Keanu Reeves, one of the most popular actors working today. Keanu Reeves' starpower is much larger than the rest of Sonic the Hedgehog 3's fantastic cast, which is why it is such a big deal that he is ing the series. Reeves is one of the biggest draws of the movie, and hopefully he can help excel Shadow's coolness factor in Sonic the Hedgehog 3.
