Venus Van Damme enters Sons of Anarchy in season 5, and it wasn't long before she and Tig (Kim Coates) became a couple. Reasons Tig And Venus Are Perfect For One-Another

Venus Fills A Void For Tig

A key reason that Tig and Venus are right for each other is simple — their personalities suit one-another. Everything else aside, Venus and Tig simply work well together and suit each-other, and it's easy to imagine them still settling down together if they'd met under different circumstances. It's Venus' exciting spirit that draws Tig in and makes him want to know her more. He's mentioned other women he's been with as being too shallow, quick to bore him, or they couldn't handle the life with him in the club.

Tig isn't afraid to get his hands dirty to help the club, as his life is dedicated to SAMCRO, and he's done some things he regrets. Venus takes all of that in and doesn't judge him for it. After Venus comes into his life, when he has a bullet wound, she helps patch him up, and then she stays with him.

They think it's a funny addition to his quirky personality when Venus and Tig first get together, but when they become a real couple, it's harder for club to accept.

It seems that the more serious Tig and Venus get, the less understanding of Tig's genuine feelings for Venus they become. This leads to several heated conversations between Tig and the more bigoted in SAMCRO's ranks. Tig has to fight through this and for the club to accept Venus for who she is.
