A popular MCU after No Way Home, but who she will be playing hasn't yet been confirmed. The internet has selected several popular options for the Stranger Things actor, including Mary Jane Watson, Gwen Stacy, and Jean Grey. While these are intriguing choices, there are several reasons as to why she may not be playing these characters.
Mary Jane is a solid option considering Sink has red hair, but Zendaya already plays MJ and has been Sink has been linked to Jean Grey through several rumored reports, but Spider-Man 4 would be an odd film to introduce an X-Men character. Gwen Stacy is also an intriguing choice, since MJ no longer knows who Peter is, giving him a chance to meet someone new. However, I'm convinced that a popular theory introducing Sink as Tobey Maguire's daughter would be the best way to continue Holland's MCU story.
Sadie Sink Is Playing Mayday Parker According To Spider-Man 4 Theory
Sink could the MCU as Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst's daughter from the Sam Raimi universe.
In Marvel Comics, Mayday Parker is the daughter of Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson. Debuting in an alternate universe, Mayday takes over the role of Spider-Man, or Spider-Girl, after Peter resigns due to a serious injury. In No Way Home, Maguire states that he and MJ "made it work" after Spider-Man 3, confirming the pair are still together. They could have had a daughter, and, since Maguire is 49, she could be old enough to become Spider-Girl. Maguire also alluded to back pains, suggesting he might be retiring soon.
While Marvel has hinted at a more street-level storyline for Spider-Man 4, the next film could be another multiverse narrative. The sequel releases between Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars, meaning the multiverse could be wide open. Spider-Man 4's placement in the MCU timeline presents a perfect opportunity to introduce Mayday Parker. No Way Home's sequel could work as a fourth film for both Maguire and Holland, continuing their stories through Sink's character.
Meeting Mayday Could Inspire Peter To Remove Himself From Isolation
Holland's Spider-Man is at his loneliest point after No Way Home.
Spider-man: No Way Home's ending closes with Peter sacrificing his identity to save the multiverse. He convinces Doctor Strange to cast a spell that makes everyone forget who Peter Parker is, erasing him from the memories of MJ, Ned, and even the other Avengers. Peter promises MJ he will find her and explain everything, ultimately breaking that promise after seeing the injury she sustained during the film's climactic battle. Now, he is alone, left to rebuild his life as Spider-Man and as Peter Parker. He may remain isolated for a while, unwilling to risk involving anyone else in his superhero life.
However, meeting Mayday Parker could be what he needs to break him out of his shell. Mayday's existence proves that Peter can successfully balance having personal relationships while still being Spider-Man. Mayday could convince him to find new friendships or rekindle old relationships, since she wouldn't exist if Maguire's Peter stuck to his original decision to leave Mary Jane out of his life. Holland is still committed to being a friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, but also needs a healthy work-life balance to be truly happy.
Sink's Role Could Lead To A Larger Role For Zendaya In Future Movies
MJ and Peter's relationship may not be over for long
MJ and Peter's relationship is over currently. It's unclear how large Zendaya's role will be in the next film, or if she definitely will be in it, as Marvel hasn't officially confirmed whether Zendaya will return for Spider-Man 4. The next film could focus entirely on Peter Parker's journey as he rebuilds his life after No Way Home. Peter needs a push in the right direction if he's going to rekindle the flame with MJ, and Mayday could give him the motivation he needs.

After The MCU Spider-Man 4’s Latest Casting Update I’m Convinced Zendaya’s MJ Is Getting Replaced
Spider-Man 4's first major casting and other reports increase the chances of Zendaya's MJ being replaced by another love interest for Peter Parker.
If Mayday can get Peter to break out of isolation, then there's a chance for Zendaya to have a more prominent role in future Spider-Man films. Their relationship restarting from stage one could be intriguing, especially as the pair enter college. Peter would have to focus on his academics and career while balancing his relationship with MJ and his job as Spider-Man. Many of Spider-Man's best stories involve both of his identities, and Spider-Girl could force him to discover what he wants in life outside of being a superhero.
