Into the Spider-Verse: Spider-Ham & Spidey Noir Confirmed At Comic-Con

Sony's animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse unveils additional Spider-Man characters at San Diego Comic-Con 2018: Spider-Man Noir, Spider-Ham and Peni Parker. Sony Pictures has a number of Spider-Man related projects in the works at the moment. In addition to their Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home - made in partnership with Marvel Studios - Sony is developing quite a few live-action movies. Venom is set to arrive later this year, while Silver Sable/Black Cat, Morbius the Living Vampire and more projects are also in the works. Still, Sony is also gearing up to release an animated Spider-Man tale with Into the Spider-Verse.

Written by LEGO Movie directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse focuses on the young Miles Morales - however he's not the only wall-crawling hero to appear in the movie, not by a long shot. As of now, there are at least six confirmed Spider-People set to appear in Into the Spider-Verse, which should make for an interesting and altogether different kind of Spidey story than what fans have seen in the live-action movies. Of course, the fact that Into the Spider-Verse puts Miles front and center would inherently make the movie different to any of those that previously focused on Peter Parker. Still, with all the Spidey characters and a different web-head at the forefront - not to mention the animated visuals of the film - Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse looks to stand apart from all other Spider-Man movies, live-action or not.
