Sony PlayStation released a new teaser trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man game was first announced at E3 2016 as part of a t partnership between Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, with the former licensing out the property and the latter publishing and funding the title, and with Insomniac Games developing the new Spidey adventure.

The Spider-Man PS4 game will be the first in a new series of E3 trailer's after-credits scene confirmed Miles Morales' existence within the game's universe, while also confirming that Peter Parker is the one in the suit, not Miles.

Today, Sony PlayStation debuted a new trailer for Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 game at PGW 2017. Unlike past trailers, this one is primarily focuses on the game's story, which seems to be about Mister Negative using the Devil's Breath formula - a DNA-based bioweapon - to kill Spider-Man, along with brief glimpses of gameplay footage spread throughout. You can watch the trailer in the section above.

Spider-Man PS4 Mary Jane

The above trailer confirms previous rumors that the game will contain a host of Spidey's best villains, namely Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin (Spider-Man: Homecoming this past summer.

The story begins shortly after Spidey takes down the Kingpin, with Norman Osborn running for re-election as mayor at the same time. Moreover, with Mary Jane Watson apparently knowing Peter Parker's secret, it's safe to assume that the game's story takes place much later in the web-slinging superhero's crimefighting career. Interestingly, it seems there might be at least one instance in which players take control of Mary Jane, who's investigating Mister Negative's diabolical plan.

Marvel's Spider-Man PS4 game is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated games on the horizon. Unfortunately, the project has not yet been given a specified release date aside from its planned 2018 debut. But judging by the game's trailers and gameplay footage, it seems the wait may very well be worth it.
