The Marvel Cinematic Universe. He finished his trilogy back in 2021 and is expected to be back in the future.
However, one of the lost projects from Garfield's franchise was the Sinister Six movie that The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was working hard on setting up as a big spinoff film. While the movie never happened, new plot details have emerged, thanks to MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, which came out this month. In the book, it was revealed that Sony was planning on including Marvel's Savage Land, with Spider-Man literally riding a T-Rex, as revealed by the following quote:
By the end of 2014, [Drew Goddard] had a draft that took Spider-Man and his villains to the Savage Land, where Spider-Man would ride a T-Rex.

Sony's Sinister Six Movie Cast (As We Know It)
Sony has plans for adding a Sinister Six movie to its Spider-Man adjacent movie universe, and here's who seems likely to fill out the cast.
Will Sony's Sinister Six Plans Ever Happen?
To this point, Spider-Man: No Way Home is the closest that any Spider-Man movie has gotten to bringing the Sinister Six together. The MCU iteration only had five Spider-Man villains unite as they faced off with Tobey Maguire, Garfield, and Holland's characters, leaving the door open for a proper Sinister Six formation down the line. The bigger question, however, is in what way Sony Pictures could go forward with it, given where the Spider-Man property is today.
Over the last few years, Sony's Spider-Man Universe has introduced numerous characters from Peter Parker's rogue's gallery, despite being reimagined as anti-heroes. However, it is more likely the Sinister Six will come to life in one way or another in that franchise rather than somehow going back to The Amazing Spider-Man universe and finish what they started there. The Sinister Six being born in Sony's Spider-Man Universe would be a way to also finally have those movies introduce that world's Spider-Man.
On paper, Sinister Six works as a concept, which is why it is shocking how Sony Pictures hasn't been able to do a proper formation of the team on the big screen, outside of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Once the SAG-AFTRA strike is over, Sony Pictures will be able to resume their plans on Sony's Spider-Man Universe, which may or may not include something with the Sinister Six. But for now, the world will have to wait and see if the Sinister Six will ever get their proper due in theaters.
