With three different Spider-Man franchises hitting the big screen (plus a standalone animation), there’s a lot to debate and love about all of them. Whether fans can’t get enough of their web-slinger, their love affairs, or the villains they face, it’s safe to say there’s no shortage of dynamic and interesting characters.

All of the villains to face off against Spider-Man have their own unique background, and some of them come from nothing while others come from everything. It’s time to stack them against each other not just by their superpowers, but by the wealth they bring to the table.

Sandman/Flint Marko

Spider-Man Sandman

Thomas Haden Church brings Flint Marko to life in Spider-Man 3. He’s a family guy, and he’s pretty hard to hate. He gets in trouble with the law because he steals for his daughter’s cancer treatment.

Of course, he becomes a villain after he turns into the Sandman. A tragic character, Flint Marko might also be the poorest of the bunch. He lives in a rundown home and clearly can’t afford proper healthcare for his daughter. He’s devastatingly at the bottom of the list.

Venom/Eddie Brock

Spider-Man 3 Eddie Brock (Topher Grace)

Although this villain might be the least favorite to his big screen in live-action Spider-Man flicks, he’s still one of the most popular from comics. Spider-Man series.

He’s a photographer, just like Peter Parker. Fans all know how much Peter makes (or doesn’t make) selling pictures to the Daily Bugle. Since he ended up photoshopping his pictures, it’s safe to assume he didn’t make much.

Electro/Max Dillon

Max Dillon (Jamie Foxx) appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and was a humble and lonely guy who worked as an electrical engineer for Oscorp Industries. In this job, he probably hovered just around $100,000 a year.

As an engineer, this character likely made a pretty penny. However, he clearly wasn’t at the top of the hierarchy, and it’s because of this that he turned over to becoming a villain.

Mysterio/Quentin Beck

Spider-Man Far From Home Mysterio

Jake Gyllenhaal blew everyone away when he ed the cast of Spider-Man: Far From Home to play Mysterio. This character used to be employed by Stark Industries and appears to have been pretty high up on the totem pole.

This huge company definitely made some money, and it seems like Quentin Beck got an impressive piece of it. However, this villain wanted fame, not just fortune.

Vulture/Adrian Toomes

Spider-Man: Homecoming Vulture

It’s hard to really place Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) on this list. He clearly had buckets of money when he was the owner of Bestman Salvage, but he lost it all to the government (with help from Tony Stark).

Still, he had the means to create his iconic suit, which means he definitely still had money to his name. This man could be higher up the list - but instead, he became one of the best villains to hit the big screen, in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The Lizard/Dr. Curt Connors

Dr. Curt Connors inhecting himself in his lab in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Dr. Curt Connors (Rhys Ifans) is employed as a scientist by Oscorp Industries. So, he’s not as rich as that family, but he’s definitely not hurting when it comes to his bank .

He is the epitome of the ‘mad scientist gone wrong’ trope in Andrew Garfield’s first villain on-screen. This character had ambition, money, and the means to become a pretty great villain.

Doctor Octopus/Otto Octavius

Doc Ock on a train in Spider-Man 2

This brilliant and kind-hearted man co-founded Oscorp and was close friends with Norman Osborn. Therefore, he definitely takes the next slot after the Osborn family for richest supervillain.

Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) is a fan-favorite from Spider-Man 2, and might just be the ‘least villainous’ on the list. He’s as smart as they come, and also just as rich. Audiences are excited that he has ed the MCU.

The New Goblin/Harry Osborn

Spider-Man New Goblin (James Franco)

The goblins are the only villains to appear in more than one of these franchises. James Franco takes on the original series, with Dane DeHaan taking over the role for the Garfield franchise.

Harry is the heir to the Osborn fortune, so it makes perfect sense that he’s high on this list, after his father. He turns to the ‘villain’ after his father’s death, and this spoiled rich kid gives Peter Parker a run for his own money. From the comics, the Osborns are billionaires.

The Green Goblin/Norman Osborn

Spider-Man Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe)

As the head of industrial head of Oscrop, Norman Osborn is one powerful guy. Whether it’s Willem Dafoe in Spider-Man or Chris Cooper in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, he’s got a lot of money.

Fans will never forget the mansion that this man resides in, and it’s kind of a bit insulting to everyone else. He’s got buckets and buckets of cash - and he’s easily one of the richest of them all.

Kingpin/Wilson Fisk

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Kingpin

2018's featured this iconic villain: Kingpin (Liev Schreiber).

He’s the head of Fisk Industries, and he even had a hand in benefiting Doctor Octopus and their work with Alchemax. Even just by name, he’s clearly one of the richest villains in this universe. According to the comics, Kingpin probably has over $40 billion from his criminal undertakings and businesses.
