Spider-Man: Homecoming.

The movie not only introduced Holland as Peter Parker but also all those characters close to him and important to his story, as are Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), Eugene “Flash” Thompson (Tony Revolori), and Spider-Man: Far From Home and will be back in Spider-Man: Homecoming 3, where he might be going through a highly anticipated transformation.

Ned possibly starting his journey into becoming Hobgoblin in Spider-Man 3 is a lot more exciting than having characters from previous Spider-Man movies returning, as this transformation is something new to the MCU.

Spider-Man Homecoming Ned Leeds

Hobgoblin has made the jump to television and videogames but not the big screen yet, so having Ned become this villain would be something entirely new in the history of Spider-Man in film, and it has great potential for the future. Spider-Man 3 might end up being packed with characters, with Vulture in Spider-Man: Homecoming and Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio in Spider-Man Far From Home, thus having the potential of overshadowing the rest and creating more excitement and anticipation.

Plot details of Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 are still unknown, so Ned could either go full-on Hobgoblin in this movie or it could set the basis for his transformation in the near future, perhaps even teasing this big moment in a post-credits scene, in typical Marvel Studios style. So far, Spider-Man: Homecoming 3 is being a mix of old and new characters, which can result in an exciting cinematic event, and hopefully the studio will avoid the “Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3 mistake” of having too many characters and villains and very little story and development.
