The wall-crawling cosplayers have made the prospect of a Spider-Man and Daredevil crossover even more of a reality in an expertly crafted costume pairing.

The longtime dreams of comic book fans were finally fulfilled when lawyer by day/crime fighter by night Matt Murdock aka Daredevil (played by actor Charlie Cox) made his "official" MCU debut in last year's blockbuster Spider-Man No Way Home. Murdock was hired to help Spidey's civilian alter ego of Peter Parker (Tom Holland) from avoiding serious jail time, amid his secret identity being outed to the general public. Murdock only appeared for one memorable sequence, but it certainly helped build up audience interest for future appearances, including further adventures with Spider-Man. Spider-Man and Daredevil have a long and storied history of teaming up to fight crime within New York City in Marvel Comics, perhaps even more than Spidey's Avengers team-ups.

While fans will have to make do with a brief interaction between Peter Parker and Matt Murdock for the time being, a set of experienced cosplayers, Caleb Weeks (@calebweekss) and Raymond Weijland (@raymondweijland), make the wait for a costumed encounter a bit more bearable. Thanks to a talented assemblage of superhero tailors and specialists, Caleb and Raymond bring their superhero identities to the streets of New York. It's Spider-Man and Daredevil finally donning their famous costumes and even having some fun along the way, without the pesky need for their civvies. While the all-black and traditional red Daredevil suits have their basis found in the comics, both Spider-Man costumes worn throughout seem to be representing classic versions of the web-head from the big screen, as played by actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Spider-Man & Daredevil Are Marvel's Greatest Team-Up

With New York host to a plethora of heroes and villains, it's not uncommon for Spider-Man and Daredevil to occasionally cross paths. The mainstream Earth-616 Marvel Universe partnership between Spider-Man and Daredevil began in 1964's The Amazing Spider-Man #16 by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, with a battle against the villainous Ringmaster and his Circus of Crime. The two NY-based heroes quickly hit it off and developed a friendship. There are certain comics that often depict the two heroes' bond becoming more than simply a working relationship. When Spider-Man briefly lost his sight from the Masked Marauder, it was Daredevil who consoled Peter and taught the hero to use his other senses. The assistance came back around when Daredevil wrestled control of Hell's Kitchen from the Kingpin and Spider-Man was one of the few heroes to check on Murdock's well-being as a brother would.

Following the highly anticipated reveal of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's plans for Phase Five of its films and live-action television series', Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige hinted that the future would see former Avenger Spider-Man transitioning to the street-level corner of the MCU alongside Daredevil. A future Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland has yet to be officially announced by Marvel / Sony, but all signs point to an inevitable return from Holland and his rendition of Peter Parker. Whether Daredevil himself appears in the forthcoming Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland, this cosplay reminds fans why Spider-Man and Daredevil remain comics' greatest dream team.
