While the MCU’s Peter Parker has never shown any interest in photography, Doctor Strange’s spell at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home may have set up Peter’s future with the Daily Bugle. At the end of No Way Home, Peter instructed Doctor Strange to cast a spell that made everyone forget Peter Parker, which was the only way to close the rift in the multiverse. The spell saved the multiverse and made Spider-Man’s identity secret again. Unfortunately, all of Peter’s loved ones lost their memories, leaving him to start over on his own.
Although the full extent of Doctor Strange’s spell is not explained in Spider-Man: No Way Home, it seemed to delete media related to Peter Parker as well since the Daily Bugle no longer had any videos about him. Throughout No Way Home, the Daily Bugle caused severe problems for Peter, revealing his secret identity, turning the public against him, and even following him to Happy Hogan’s apartment. While it is normal for the Daily Bugle to hate Spider-Man, some fans were surprised that Peter never worked as a photographer for the news outlet in the MCU, given that that job was a core aspect of Spider-Man’s story.
Based on the ending of Spider-Man: No Way Home though, this role may still be possible for Peter in the future. According to one movie breakdown (via YouTube), Doctor Strange’s spell may have given Peter the motivation to become a Daily Bugle photographer. Due to Peter’s new need to not only himself, but avoid questions about his past, the Daily Bugle may be the perfect place for Peter to work as a result of the channel's newfound popularity and presumably expanding staff team.
Since Aunt May died and Doctor Strange’s spell erased all memories of Peter in his remaining loved ones, Peter had to move into his own apartment at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home. However, he no longer had anyone to financially him. Due to this, Peter will need a job that pays well enough for him to be able to rent his apartment and afford all other living expenses on his own. During No Way Home, the Daily Bugle became popular for the first time, moving into a real studio rather than filming in front of a green screen. To their growth, the Daily Bugle would probably want to hire talented freelance photographers, such as Peter, and would finally have a more substantial budget.
In addition, Peter must find a job that will not object to his lack of history. If Doctor Strange’s spell truly deleted all records of Peter, then he has no high school diploma, prior work experience, or even proper identification. Due to this, Peter will need to work somewhere that will not run a background check on him. Given the Daily Bugle’s questionable reputation and ethics, they would probably be willing to look the other way when buying Peter’s photographs. Although the Daily Bugle hated Peter throughout Spider-Man: No Way Home, Doctor Strange’s spell may have ironically made it the ideal workplace for Peter, especially if it gives him the opportunity to influence some of the media about Spider-Man.
