A new tap-and-collect idle game, SpongeBob's Idle Adventures, launched earlier this September across mobile devices and involves automating businesses alongside iconic characters from Nickelodeon's SpongeBob SquarePants television series. There are over a dozen characters to collect already, and it seems as though more will be consistently added thanks to the game's use of unique events.
The game's inciting incident involves an accident with Sandy's dimension-hopping invention, resulting in SpongeBob and his friends moving from universe to universe in an attempt to get back to Bikini Bottom. Players are tasked with earning enough energy to power up the device, progressing from level to level with the help of cards that feature many of the iconic and beloved characters from the show.
In addition to the standard set of characters within the game, SpongeBob's Idle Adventures also features unique alternate versions of each character. Limited-time events are introduced gradually throughout the course of the game, each only lasting a few days or so, and progressing far enough through these events rewards players with character cards that correspond to its theme. This is undoubtedly a big draw for many players, and here are the characters that appear in the game so far.

Currently, there are 30 standard SpongeBob characters - called "workers" within the game - to collect in SpongeBob's Idle Adventures, though this number is subject to change as the game continues to update. Each can be collected as a reward for completing tasks and levels or drawn from chests bought using monetized currency. These characters are, in order to least rare to most rare:

There are also two different sets of event characters available to collect at the moment. The first set consists of Sir Silver Krabs, FancyPants, Flats Manchu, and Peach Fuzz Plankton. The second set, part of the ongoing birthday event, features Birthday Larry, Birthday SpongeBob, Birthday Puff, and Birthday Sandy. Any Nickelodeon fans looking to collect as many memorable SpongeBob characters as possible will need to SpongeBob's Idle Adventures before the event wraps up within the next couple of days or so.
