While SpongeBob isn't particularly well-known for featuring parodies of other series or films, it has made references to other productions, like in the season 2 episode featuring Nosferatu. All said, it’s cool to be getting a legitimate parody special from SpongeBob, and of such a legendary show like The Twilight Zone, too. SpongeBob is known for iconic and hilarious moments and scenes and the preview clips look promising, so a special like this one is bound to be remarkable. What’s more, it’s the first-ever crossover event of the SpongeBob franchise, uniting characters from all three shows. The special is sure to be a hit among SpongeBob Squarepants fans and hopefully with The Twilight Zone fans as well.
