The world of Nicktoon to date, even expanding to other media, most notably video games and film.

SpongeBob SquarePants follows the daily adventures of the title character – a sea sponge that looks more like a kitchen sponge – and his best friends Patrick Star, Sandy Cheeks, his neighbor and coworker some suspicious dishes.

It’s only natural for cartoons to defy logic in every possible way, and one fun way SpongeBob SquarePants has done that is through the title character’s house, which is not just a pineapple, but one that is so much bigger on the inside.

Every Room In SpongeBob SquarePants’ House

The famous pineapple house in 124 Conch Street belongs to SpongeBob SquarePants, and it’s home to him, his pet snail Gary, and his other pet, Shelley. The house is just a pineapple on the outside, as it’s a pretty normal house on the inside (normal to the series’ standards, that is), but it’s bigger than it actually looks. First off, the house has a garage in the back of the house, which doesn’t appear much in the series. Once inside, it’s divided in three floors, each with a bunch of rooms that serve different purposes.

On the first floor, there’s the living room, coat closet, trophy closet, kitchen, laundry room, and a kitchen pantry, with the stairs that lead to the second floor located right outside the kitchen. The second floor features SpongeBob’s bathroom, library, gallery, and workout room. The library is the largest room in the house, occupying the second and third stories, and has a lot of books that go from novels to comic books to SpongeBob’s work diary. The workout room has appeared a couple of times, mostly to show how little exercise SpongeBob does and how weak he is.

The staircase to the third-floor can be found next to the library, and in that floor you’ll find SpongeBob’s bedroom, a bathroom attached to it, and an escape hatch to the roof. There’s nothing special to the roof of the house, but it has been used by SpongeBob to escape from various types of danger. SpongeBob’s house has been destroyed multiple times throughout the series, but luckily for him, it always comes back and everything is pretty much intact. The pineapple house and its unbelievable architecture is just one of the many fun details in SpongeBob SquarePants that make the series even more entertaining.
