WARNING: SPOILERS ahead for Squid Game season 2.
Kim Jun-hee's name in Squid Game season 3, which will be the final season of the celebrated thriller, is set to be released in 2025.
In Squid Game season 2, episode 5, Gi-hun's group explains the meanings of their names to each other. However, Player 22, or Kim Jun-hee, played by Korean singer and actress Jo Yu-ri, says she doesn't know what her name means. In-ho, otherwise known as the Front Man, who is disguised as Player 001, called Seong Gi-hun their "un-Seong" hero. He also fabricates his cover name, Oh Young-il, which corresponds to his Player 001 uniform.
Jun Means Handsome/Talented & Hee Means Shining/Bright
She is called Gi-hun team's good luck charm
Kim is the most common surname in Korea. It translates literally to "gold". As of 2015, there were more than 10.6 million people in Korea who have Kim as their surname. Because of this, Kim Jun-hee is certainly not the first person with the Kim surname to play the Squid Game. Jun translates to handsome or talented in Korean, while Hee means shining or bright. Jung-bae called Kim Jun-hee their "good luck charm" in Squid Game, which makes sense given the meaning of her name.

“A Sliver Of Humanity Left:” What The Front Man’s Reaction To The Games Means For Squid Game Season 3
The Front Man seems to have a strange reaction to the games in the Squid Game season 2, hinting at how his story will potentially unfold in season 3.
Jun-hee, also spelled as Joon-hee, is a unisex name in Korean culture. Some notable figures named Jun-hee are Korean director and screenwriter Han Jun-hee and Korean composer and professor Lim Jun-hee. The name has entirely positive connotations, ranging from joy and happiness to handsome and talented, even virtuous.
What Kim Jun-hee's Name Meaning Could Reveal About Her Future In Squid Game Season 3
Her name may hint at her Squid Game fortune
Based on the translation of Kim Jun-Lee's name, it's possible that she could end up winning the tournament in Squid Game season 3. Words like "gold", "talented", and "bright" combined hint that she could become the sole winner of the Squid Game much like Gi-hun and even In-ho before her. Since she is pregnant, the death of her character would be one of the most tragic moments of any existing Squid Game episode. The series may not want to go in that grim of a direction, even though the series is quite relentless.
Kim Jun-hee's name may be a hidden clue to her winning the whole thing in season 3. It would also make sense for her to be the only one of Gi-hun's group to not know the meaning of her own name, since saying it outright in the show might have made it too obvious. Whether Kim Jun-hee wins Squid Game season 3 or not, she has already been established as a good luck charm and should either go very far in the game or somehow make it out alive.
