Warning! Spoilers for Tales from Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee by DC Comics

In celebration of the late Stan Lee's 100th birthday, DC Comics is bringing back his Justice League team as the Just Imagine universe will return in a new oversized one-shot. Tales from Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee by DC Comics features the return of Lee's version of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and more, as a group of talented creators will tackle the legendary comic writer's versions of the Justice League in the all-new stories.

In the early 2000s, Stan Lee penned a limited series for DC Comics, called Batman, a man named Wayne Williams who was a former professional wrestler turned vigilante, and a female version of The Flash, who gained her powers from a hummingbird's DNA.

To celebrate the late Stan Lee's 100th birthday on December 28th, DC is releasing a new one-shot anthology called Tales from Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee. The oversized 96-page comic will feature the return of Lee's version of Justice League heroes, recently confirmed to still exist in the DCU. The one-shot will feature ten new stories spotlighting the different characters from the universe, with seasoned and new comic book voices taking the reins as creative teams on the book. Writers contributing to the book include Michael Uslan, Mark Waid, Jerry Ordway, Stephanie Williams, Michael W. Conrad, Becky Cloonan, Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing, Steve Orlando, Meghan Fitzmartin, Zac Thompson, and Kenny Porter.

Artists working on the series include Lee Weeks, Kevin Maguire, Ordway, Karl Mostert, Juan Ferreyra, Anthony Marques, Pablo M. Collar, Belen Ortega, Max Dunbar, and Hayden Sherman. The main cover of the Stan Lee celebratory issue will be drawn by Jim Cheung with Steve Beach (Batman), Riley Rossmo (Justice League), Jason Howard (Green Lantern), Kyle Hotz (Shazam!), Superman (Ariel Colon), Kelley Jones (The Sandman), Christian Ward (The Flash), Jorge Corona (Aquaman), Belen Ortega and Dan Panosian (Catwoman), with a 1:25 variant from Cully Hamner.

The Just Imagine universe from Stan Lee might have been somewhat forgotten over time, but with the new one-shots, readers can learn more about his version of the Justice League and its heroes while DC celebrates his 100th birthday in style. Alongside his creative teams, Lee brought bold, unique versions of the most popular DC heroes to life, so it's fantastic to see them get the spotlight on the late legendary writer's birthday. Tales from Earth-6: A Celebration of Stan Lee by DC Comics arrives in comic book stores on December 27th, 2022.
