Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4 returns with a 2-episode premiere on Paramount+. On the heels of Lower Decks' acclaimed crossover with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which saw Ensigns Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid) and Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) come aboard the USS Enterprise in live-action, the Lower Deckers of the USS Cerritos are back in action in the 24th century. But one thing is different as Mariner, Boimler, and their friends face being promoted in Lower Decks season 4.

Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, episode 1 is titled "Twovix," which is a curious spin on the famed Star Trek: Voyager episode "Tuvix." The episode is written by Lower Decks' creator Mike McMahan and is directed by Barry J. Kelly and Jason Zurek.
Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, episode 2 is titled "I Have No Bones Yet I Must Flee," which evokes Harlan Ellison's “I Have No Mouth But I Must Scream.” The episode is written by Aaron Burdette and directed by Megan Lloyd.

Star Trek: Lower Decks Season 4 Will Have Theatrical Screenings On Star Trek Day
Star Trek: Lower Decks will be a featured part of Star Trek Day on Friday, September 8th, one day after the premiere of Lower Decks season 4 on Paramount+. As part of Star Trek: The Animated Celebration in honor of the 50th anniversary of Star Trek: The Animated Series, 4 specially chosen episodes of Lower Decks will be screened in movie theaters in the following cities: Columbus, Dallas, Denver, Philadelphia, Phoenix, San Diego, St. Louis, Washington D.C., Vancouver, Calgary, and London.
The Star Trek Day theatrical screenings of Star Trek: Lower Decks will also feature sneak peeks at Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, surprises, free concessions, giveaways, and more. Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4 also has the distinction of being the last new episodes of Star Trek released in 2023.
