I want Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 even more after a new behind-the-scenes photo shared by Jess Bush. Strange New Worlds season 3 has no set release date but is expected to premiere sometime in 2025 on Paramount+. Strange New Worlds is also renewed for season 4, with production scheduled for next spring. Strange New Worlds season 2's finale premiered on August 10, 2023, so it's already a very long wait for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3.

San Diego Comic-Con offered us a first look at Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3: A five-minute clip from a Vulcan comedy episode directed by Jordan Canning. Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount), Lt. La'an Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong), Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), and Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush) were turned into Vulcans, to the chagrin of Lt. Spock (Ethan Peck). That was our last glimpse of Strange New Worlds season 3 until Jess Bush dropped a new behind-the-scenes photo on Instagram.

Jess Bush’s Chapel & Uhura Photo Makes Me Want Strange New Worlds Season 3 Even More

I'm Ready

Nurse Christine Chapel (Jess Bush) isters a hypospray to Ensign Nyota Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding) in Strange New Worlds

Jess Bush's (@onejessa) new Instagram photo shows herself as Nurse Chapel and Celia Rose Gooding as Ensign Uhura on set posing with their phasers, Charlie's Angels-style. Jess' caption, "Pew pew" and Celia's comment, "Chaphura's angels!!!" hammers home how retro cool, yet futuristic the women of the Starship Enterprise are. Check out Jess Bush's photo below:

Both Jess Bush and Celia Rose Gooding sport new looks for Uhura and Chapel in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3. Chapel's blonde locks are longer and styled differently while Uhura's hair is no longer closely-cropped. They both look cool and dynamic with their refreshed styles as Uhura and Chapel. Considering our last glimpse of Chapel was in sickbay with a Gorn-infected Captain Marie Batel (Melanie Scrofano) while Uhura was on the USS Enterprise's bridge in crisis, Jess Bush's Insta photo intriguingly hints at more fun to come in Strange New Worlds season 3.

What I’m Most Excited About In Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3

More big swings

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 promises more 'big swings' in genre and creativity, and I can't wait to see if the show can top Star Trek's first-ever musical episode and the crossover with Star Trek: Lower Decks in season 2. Strange New Worlds season 3 is obviously going back to the well of Vulcan comedy, but there is also the Hollywood murder mystery episode directed by Jonathan Frakes to look forward to. That also leaves 8 more Strange New Worlds season 3 episodes to expect the unexpected and to look forward to.

I want to see what twists are in store for Strange New Worlds' "love stories in space".

Most of all, I'm excited to see what's next for the crew of the Starship Enterprise and their relationships. I want to see what twists are in store for Strange New Worlds' "love stories in space" like Captain Pike and Captain Batel, and La'an and Lt. James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley). Nurse Chapel's stalled romance with Spock gets even more complicated by the addition of Dr. Roger Korby (Cillian O'Sullivan). Perhaps there will also be Star Trek legacy characters reintroduced, like Sybok or Carol Marcus. And I'm thrilled Scotty (Martin Quinn) will be a regular on the Enterprise. Honestly, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 can't get here soon enough.
